Good afternoon, college football fans!! As you all know, the College Football Playoff is set, and there's a lot of controversy with it, with Ohio State getting in, even though they didn't win their conference. So, I decided that I'm going to do a 16-team tournament to determine the NCAA Division 1-A Football Champion. I will be using NCAA 14 with up to date rosters downloaded from online. I will sim every game, so it will be CPU v. CPU. Here's the qualifications: 1. All 10 Conference Champions, 6 Wild Cards 2. Conference Champions seeded by ranking, then if UR, by Overall Record, then by Conference Record. 3. 6 Wild Cards seeded by final ranking in the CFP rankings. 4. None of the Wild Cards can host a first round game. First round, the higher seed gets home-field advantage. Second Round will be played on a neutral field, as will the semis, and National Championship. And here's how the bracket set up: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} 1. Alabama Crimson Tide vs. No. 16 Florida State Seminoles{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} No. 8 Western Kentucky Hilltoppers v. No. 9 San Diego State Aztecs{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} No. 4 Penn State Nittany Lions v. No. 13 Wisconsin Badgers{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} No. 5 Oklahoma Sooners v. No. 12 Michigan Wolverines{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} No. 2 Clemson Tigers v. No. 15 Colorado Buffaloes{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} No. 7 Temple Owls v. No. 10 Appalachian State Mountaineers{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} No. 3 Washington Huskies v. No. 14 Southern California Trojans{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} No. 6 Western Michigan Broncos v. No. 11 Ohio State Buckeyes

And we start off with probably one of the main attractions of the first round. Florida State traveling to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama!
The first half is basically a back and forth battle, as both teams trade scores back and forth, and we go into halftime tied at 21 a piece. Late in the half, Florida State was driving, and with two seconds left, Fracois found Lane in the back of the endzone, hitting him for a 32-yard strike!
The second half is a whole different story. Alabama starts off with the ball, marching all the way down field, but could only get 3 points out of it. Florida State looked to capitalize, but could not get anything going, and had to punt with a 3 and out. Alabama took advantage, and Hurts nailed Stewart with a 29-yard pass to go up by 10! Florida State came back, and marched downfield to get the Seminoles within 3 after 3.
Alabama started out strong in the 4th, but had to punt the ball away, and the Seminoles were looking to take the lead! They marched all the way down to the 37 yard line of Alabama. Alabama held for 3 downs, and it was 4th and 10. And Jimbo Fisher, to the surprise of pretty much EVERYONE, decided to forgo the 54-yard Field Goal attempt for the tie, and went for it on 4th Down!! And it cost him big, as Bama strip sacked Fracois, and recovered by the Crimson Tide on the 48 yard line of FSU!! It was a major blunder, as looking back on the replay, Daivante Phillips, No. 5 for FSU, was WIDE F***ING OPEN for the First Down. Alabama took over and marched down the field, eating up clock as well as two timeouts by FSU, and scored pretty much the dagger, going up by 10 again. FSU drove quickly down the field, scoring a late touchdown, but needed an onside kick to stay alive. But it was a TERRIBLE onside kick, and Alabama was able to eat up enough clock to advance to the Elite 8 of the College Football Playoff!
No. 1 Alabama d. No. 16 Florida State, 38-35.

And let's get to our second game of the tournament, as San Diego State travels to the Bluegrass State to take on Western Kentucky.
The first quarter is a slow one, as neither team is able to get on the board. Second quarter, though, San Diego State starts a drive from their own 43-yard line, and meticulously work their way down field and get in the endzone first!
After another drive stalls for WKU, San Diego State gets the ball back, and starts to work their way down field. But as they get to mid field, Chapman makes a costly error as he attempts to throw to Chaney, and it's PICKED OFF!! Western Kentucky drives down the field and ties it all up late in the first half. Late in the quarter, Chapman goes down field to Anderson II, and it's PICKED OFF IN THE ENDZONE!!! WKU drives down field, and with only seconds left, White hits Taylor with a 41-yard pass and a score!! WKU leads SDSU at the half, 14-7.
The Hilltoppers start off with the ball in the second half, and they just methodically drive down the field, a 10-play drive for 75 yards, and WKU, after being down by 7, run off 21 unanswered, and the Aztecs look to be on the ropes.
But San Diego State fights back, and they drive down the field. But the drive stalls, and SDSU can only settle for a field goal, down 21-10 after 3.
Western Kentucky then drives down the field, but can only manage 3 points as well, as they now lead 24-10. San Diego State gets the ball back, and goes on a 15-play drive that eats up pretty much the entire 4th quarter, and ends it with a touchdown! Down 24-17 now, they have to go for an onside kick, like Florida State in the early game. But unlike Florida State, SAN DIEGO STATE RECOVERS IT!! WKU tried to pick it up and run with it, but it was too hot, and the Aztecs take over with life in them!!
San Diego State drives down field, and with only 30 seconds left, Chapman, who had been the goat in the first half with two picks, redeems himself, and nails Judge for the tying touchdown!! And we head to Overtime!!
Western Kentucky starts off with the ball in overtime, but can't get anything going, and has to settle for a Field Goal. But San Diego State comes right back in two plays, and Chapman nails Holder for the DAGGER!!! San Diego State advances, upsetting the Hilltoppers and earns a date in the Orange Bowl with the No. 1 ranked Crimson Tide!!
No. 9 San Diego State upsets No. 8 Western Kentucky, 30-27 in OT.

And our last match up of the night is a rematch of the Big Ten Championship, as Penn State hosts Wisconsin in Happy Valley.
Penn State starts off with the ball, and they begin a nice little drive with short runs and passes. But then, disaster strikes early, as Barkley runs it up the gut and gets FWACKED, and IT'S A FUMBLE!!! Wisconsin scoops it up, and we have our first turnover!! But Wisconsin can't do anything with it, and punt it right back to the Nittany Lions.
After another Penn State punt, Wisconsin marches down the field, but can't get into the endzone, and they settle for a 34-yard FG. Penn State gets it back, and marches right down the field for a touchdown!! They go up 7-3 with only seconds left in the 1st quarter.
Wisconsin gets a touchback off the kickoff. Houston tosses it to Clement, AND THERE'S NOBODY OUT THERE TO COVER THE OUTSIDE!!! One man misses a diving tackle, and CLEMENT IS LOOSE!!! 75-YARD TOUCHDOWN RUN IN ONE PLAY!!! Wisconsin ends the 1st quarter up 10-7.
Penn State gets the ball, and after a one yard loss on a rush, McSorley passes to his left, and IT'S PICKED OFF!!! Jamerson reads the ill-advised pass like a book, and returns it ALL THE WAY TO THE HOUSE!! TD Wisconsin, and they lead 17-7!!
Penn State tries to bounce back, and has a nice little drive going, but they stall out and have to punt it away. The Badgers take advantage with a 10-play, 80 yard drive that sets up a TD Pass from Houston to Love for 14 yards, and Wisconsin has busted this wide open, 24-7.
Penn State drives down the field, but stalls out again, and they settle for a 32-yard FG, going into the half down 24-10.
Wisconsin gets the ball to start the second half, gets a nice little drive started, but Houston makes an ill-advised throw, and CAMPBELL PICKS IT OFF FOR THE NITTANY LIONS!!!
Penn State starts to drive the ball down field, looking to gain a little ground on the Badgers. On the 21-yard line of Wisconsin, McSorely throws a slant, but it's PICKED OFF!! Connelly sat in the middle and McSorely must not have seen him!! Wisconsin gets the ball back, but can't do anything with it, and punts the ball back. Penn State starts to drive down field, and McSorely finds a WIDE OPEN GODWIN!! 43 yards for the touchdown, and Wisconsin fans are thinking, "Oh no. Not again." Wisconsin leads 24-17 after 3.
The Badgers get a drive started late in the 3rd, and they continue to drive down field, but stall out, and settle for a field goal, putting them up 27-17. Penn State takes the kickoff, and after a 10-play drive, get in the endzone and put themselves down by 3.
Wisconsin gets the ball back, and Penn State tries to stop them, but the running attack for Wisconsin is too much this time. And Wisconsin upsets the Big Ten Champions, earning themselves a spot in the Rose Bowl!!
No. 13 Wisconsin upsets No. 4 Penn State, 27-24

And now we get to the fourth game of the first round, as Michigan travels to Norman to face Oklahoma!
And Oklahoma started out rough, as Michigan scored 14 points to take an early 14-0 lead, with one touchdown coming off a fumble recovery off of Mayfield. Oklahoma fought back in the second quarter, scoring a touchdown, but a pair of field goals late by Michigan gave the Wolverines a 20-7 lead going into halftime. The team trailing at halftime has come back to win 1 of the 3 games so far, so don't count Oklahoma out just yet. The Sooners are gonna have to take care of the football though, as they've had two fumbles in the first half that were both recovered by the Wolverines.
Michigan started the second half with the football, and right from the first play of scrimmage, it's PICKED OFF!! Oklahoma has shown some life!! Oklahoma marched down the field and capitalized with a touchdown, now down by only 6!
Michigan comes right back though, and scores another touchdown, now leading 27-14. But the Sooners fight back, as they march down the field and score again, once again down by 6. Michigan starts another drive, and looks to get another score in late in the 3rd, but it's PICKED OFF BY OKLAHOMA IN THE ENDZONE!!
Oklahoma starts with the ball in the fourth, and march down the field again to score another touchdown, taking the lead for the first time in this contest!! Michigan tries to respond, but has to punt the ball away. Oklahoma then marches down field, eating up a lot of clock, as well as the Wolverines' timeouts! With 16 seconds to go, the Sooners score one more, and are now up by 8!
Michigan takes the kickoff for a touchback, and on the first play of scrimmage, nearly takes one to the house with a long bomb, but is caught by the shoe strings!! After spiking the ball, the Wolverines get two last chances, but both times, the pass is broken up, and Oklahoma comes back from 13 down at the half to win it!!
No. 5 Oklahoma beats No. 12 Michigan, 35-27

And our next matchup features the Colorado Buffaloes, as they travel to Death Valley and face the Clemson Tigers.
And this game was ugly from the word GO. Colorado's first possession, they drive down field, but get picked off by that Clemson defense. But Clemson couldn't capitalize, and had to punt, with Colorado punting right back to them. Clemson was then able to march down the field and scored the first points of the game, leading 7-0. Colorado looked to bounce back, but after 3 plays, they fumble the ball, and Clemson scoops it up and takes back to the house for 6, leading 14-0 after one.
Colorado tries to get a drive started again, but Liufau is picked off for the second time tonight! However, the Buffalo defense has his back, as they pick off Watson! This gives Colorado some momentum, and they drive down the field for the Touchdown, cutting the lead to 7.
But Clemson comes right back, scoring another TD after a long drive, and going up 21-7. Colorado would only get another field goal, while Clemson got another touchdown, and lead at halftime, 28-10.
Colorado would open the second half with a long drive that ended in 3 points. But 3 points does you no good when the other team marches down field for 7. And that's exactly what Clemson did, And they led after 3, 35-13.
After getting a punt from Colorado late in the 3rd, Clemson marched back down field, and scored once more, making the lead 42-13. Colorado did score late, and Clemson added a field goal, but this one was over after one half.
No. 2 Clemson routs No. 15 Colorado, 45-20

And now, for the final match up of the night. Appalachian State travels North to the City of Brotherly Love, as they take on Temple!
Appalachian State looks to become one of the few to win a National Championship in both FCS (1-AA) and FBS (1-A), while Temple looks to win their first ever National Championship. They finally got over the hump this year by winning their first Conference Championship in nearly 50 years.
It was a slow first quarter, as both teams had methodical drives that ended in punts. However, Temple was able to get on the board first with the quarter's only points, a 26-yard field goal that put Temple in the lead after one, 3-0.
The second quarter started out good for Temple, as they finished a long drive started late in the first with a touchdown, putting the Owls up 10-0. Appalachian State would try to mount a response, but Lamb threw a pick, and Temple took advantage. They march right down the field and score another Touchdown, putting Temple up 17-0, and leaving the Mountaineers in a deep hole already. Late in the half, the Mountaineers drive down the field, but only get a field goal as time expires, leaving Temple up 17-3.
After the first drive stalled for Temple, Appalachian State marched down the field, and was able to get into the endzone for the first time, and now trailed 17-10. After another punt by Temple, Appalachian State came right back down field, but could only get 3 points, and were down by 4. Temple responded with another long drive for a touchdown, and the quarter ended with Temple up 24-13.
Appalachian State then marched back down field to start the 4th quarter, and they were able to punch it in again for the touchdown, as Lamb hit Jones for 25 yards and the score. And then, to shock everyone, the Mountaineers went for 2, and they GOT IT!! Appalachian State was now down by 3!! Temple had another drive stall, and Appalachian State took over. They worked methodically down the field, but were unable to get it in the endzone. But they were able to get the three, and we are all tied at 24 with less than a minute to go!
Temple still had 3 timeouts, but they didn't use any of them, to the confusion of pretty much everyone. They wasted a quick drive that could've gotten them points and the win, but we head to OVERTIME!!
Temple starts with the ball, and they get right in for the touchdown! Appalachian State responded in full, and we went to a Second Overtime!! This time, the Mountaineers struck hard and fast, and scored in two plays, taking their first lead in the game!! But Temple came right back, and scored a touchdown as well, so there was a THIRD OVERTIME!! Now PATs are out the window, and you have to go for two! Temple struck first, scoring the go ahead TD. They went for two and they got it!!
Appalachian State came out and drove down to the one yard line, and then punched it in for the touchdown!! They went for two, but Lamb took too long to decide, and was SACKED!!! Temple, after blowing a 14 point halftime lead, was able to come away with a thrilling Triple Overtime win, and a shot at Clemson in the Sugar Bowl!!
No. 7 Temple outlasts No. 10 Appalachian State, 46-44 in 3OT.

And we have the 7th match up in the 1st round, as USC travels north to Seattle to face Conference rival, Washington! These two teams met back on November 12th, with USC handing Washington their first loss of the season. Would lightning strike twice? Or would Washington avenge their only regular season loss?
The first quarter and a half was fairly slow, as both team traded field goals, and we were tied, 6-6, halfway through the 2nd quarter. Late in the 1st half, Washington marched down field in a 12-play, 75 yard drive, capping it off with the first touchdown in the game! USC comes right back with a score, and we're tied at 13 at halftime!
USC starts with the ball for the second half, but the drive stalls, and they punt it away. Washington then marches down the field, and scores another touchdown! USC comes right back, another long drive and ends it with a touchdown! But Washington comes right back and scores another touchdown late in the 3rd to take a 27-20 lead into the 4th quarter!
USC comes right back with a 40 yard pass from Browne to McNamara, and later in the drive, they tie it up again with another Touchdown!! Washington took the ball, but another drive stalled, and they had to punt. USC came right back down the field, but could only muster a field goal, and they take their first lead of the game! Washington starts another drive, and they march right down the field and score a touchdown, taking the lead 34-30 with less than a minute left!!
But USC marched down the field, and looked to be in scoring range. They miss a pass to the endzone late, and with two seconds left, they have one more chance. And to the shock of EVERYONE, USC tries to set up a screen, but the QB is sacked, and that's the ball game!!
No. 3 Washington outlasts No. 14 USC, 34-30
I'd also like to add this: USC passing yards: 404. Washington passing yards: 380. Phenomenal night for both QBs.

And now for the final matchup of the first round, as THE Ohio State Buckeyes travel North to Waldo Stadium and face off against the Western Michigan Broncos.
And this one wasn't even close from the start. Ohio State just had too much muscle for Western Michigan. They racked up a 21 point lead before Western Michigan finally got on the board, and it was only a field goal. Going into halftime, Ohio State lead 24-3.
Ohio State added another touchdown midway through the 3rd, putting them up 31-3 going into the fourth quarter. Western Michigan added on a pair of touchdowns late, but it only helped to make it look less bad than it was. You could say this was a technical upset, since Ohio State was the lower seed. But in all honesty, I think everyone saw this coming.
No. 11 Ohio State routs No. 6 Western Michigan, 31-17

And now we get to the Elite 8 of the 2016 NCAA College Football Playoff, brought to you by NCAA 14!!
Our first match features the no. 9 seed San Diego State battling the no. 1 seed Alabama in the Orange Bowl. And despite the windy conditions, Alabama is a 12-point favorite going into this game.
Surprisingly enough, there was little action going for both teams in the first two quarters. San Diego State strikes first with a 45 yard field goal, and lead the Crimson Tide, 3-0. Alabama comes right back, though, and gets a touchdown after a long drive, leading 7-3. San Diego State marched all the way down field and looked to score late to end the first half, but Alabama picks it off at the 1!! The Crimson Tide hold a 7-3 lead going into halftime, which is actually a surprise for many. The Aztecs have held their own against the powerhouse Tide.
After a drive ending in a punt for the Tide to start the second half, San Diego State moved the ball downfield and got in this time with a Touchdown!! The Aztecs lead, 10-7 halfway through the third! Bama comes right back, but can only muster a field goal, and we are tied at 10 apiece going into the fourth quarter! Could the Aztecs pull off the Upset of a Lifetime?!!
But the first play of the fourth quarter proves to be costly, as San Diego State throws another pick near midfield!! Alabama uses this momentum to march downfield and scores a touchdown!! Alabama retakes the lead late in the fourth quarter!!
Once again, San Diego State goes downfield, and they throw another pick!! The Tide take advantage of this, and score another Touchdown, putting them up 14 late!! San Diego State marches right back downfield, and right near the endzone, they throw ANOTHER PICK!! That's four interceptions for this Alabama defense!! And that is the clincher, as Bama wins this one, 24-10. A tough game for Christian Chapman of San Diego State, as he throws the ball for 345 yards, but no TDs and 4 INTs were the factor in this one!
No. 1 Alabama defeats No. 9 San Diego State, 24-10

Up next, Wisconsin battles Oklahoma in one of the most prestigious Bowl Games ever, the Rose Bowl!!
The first quarter starts out slow, but late in the first quarter, Wisconsin strikes first, as Clement runs 22 yards for a touchdown! However, Oklahoma comes right back and scores late to end the first quarter in a stalemate, 7-7.
Wisconsin is on another long drive to start the second quarter, but the drive sputters, and they settle for a field goal. But Oklahoma powers right back, marching down field and getting another touchdown, as Mayfield hits Westbrook for 22 yards! Wisconsin then comes right back, and after another long meticulous drive, they end up with another touchdown!! Oklahoma has a quick drive that sputters out, and Wisconsin goes into halftime with a 17-14 lead!
Oklahoma gets the ball to start the second half, and they march right down the field and get another touchdown!! Both teams march down the field again and score another touchdown, and Oklahoma goes in the fourth quarter with a 28-24 lead!
Wisconsin starts another drive that nearly takes up the entire fourth quarter, a 16 play drive that unfortunately saw their starting QB go down with an injury, but they struck gold, as they nail the go ahead touchdown!! Oklahoma goes no huddle, but gets an 11 play drive that ends up with a touchdown with less than a minute to go!!
Wisconsin takes the touchback, and marches nearly 75 yards downfield, using two of their three timeouts, and with a 44 yard pass from Hornibrook to Wheelright!! But late in the drive, with 18 seconds left, they decide to spike it, even though they have one timeout left, and it leaves them with only 3 seconds left!! Everyone, including myself, was screaming "USE YOUR TIMEOUT!!! YOU'RE WASTING VALUABLE TIME!!!"
But it came down to one last play. 7 yards from a score and a date with the Crimson Tide in the Final Four. Hornibrook drops back and throws it to the corner, BUT IT'S PICKED OFF!! THE SOONER DEFENSE COMES UP WITH A BIG PLAY LATE, AND THE SOONERS ADVANCE TO THE PEACH BOWL AND A DATE WITH ALABAMA!!!
No. 5 Oklahoma outlasts No. 13 Wisconsin, 35-31

And now we come to the third match up of the Elite 8, as No. 7 Temple battles No. 2 Clemson in the Sugar Bowl!
I had a feeling that this wouldn't be close, but it looked that way in the first quarter. Temple struck first, but Clemson came right back and tied things up. But the big impact play came on Temple's second drive, as they ran a Read Triple Option, but as Walker went to pitch it, he got leveled, and fumbled the ball, and Tankersley picked it up, and ran back 50 yards for the score! Temple would get another TD late, and the 1st quarter ended all tied up, 14-14.
The second quarter was when the flood gates opened, and Clemson ran off 21 unanswered points, 7 off another fumble recovery. At the end of the 1st half, Clemson was in complete control, up 35-14.
In the third quarter, Temple tried to mount a comeback, as they scored to cut the lead down to 14, as PJ Walker nailed Deloatch for a 66 yard TD pass!! But Clemson would score another 17 unanswered points, with 7 coming off an interception. So 21 points came off of Temple turnovers. Late in the game, Temple added another touchdown, but it was pretty much garbage points, as Clemson dominated this one to advance to the Final Four!
No. 2 Clemson routs No. 7 Temple, 52-28

And our last matchup of the Elite 8 pairs up No. 3 Washington against No. 11 Ohio State in the historic Cotton Bowl!
Ohio State starts off strong in the first quarter, with 10 points coming off two interceptions from Washington. Washington does get back in it with a touchdown, but Ohio State leads after one, 17-7.
Washington is able to cut the lead in the second quarter with 2 touchdowns, but Ohio State also scores once, going into halftime leading 24-21.
Ohio State starts with the ball to open the second half. They march down the field, but the drive stalls and they have to punt. Washington takes the ball and marches down field with a 15-play drive that eats up half the quarter, and scores a touchdown late!! Washington goes into the fourth quarter up 28-24!!
Ohio State starts the fourth quarter with the football, and despite an offensive penalty, the Buckeyes are able to march down the field and retake the lead! Washington tries to respond, but goes 3 and out, and have to punt. Ohio State strikes again quickly, scoring another touchdown and going up 10, 38-28.
Washington comes right back and scores another touchdown, cutting the lead to 3. They try and onside kick and Ohio State recovers the kick. They march down field and score once more, making Washington use all their timeouts. Washington quickly goes down field, but are stopped late on downs, and Ohio State advances!!
No. 11 Ohio State outlasts No. 3 Washington, 45-35

So the Final Four is set!
No.1 Alabama will face off against No.5 Oklahoma.
And No.2 Clemson will battle against No.11 Ohio State.
So, in terms of the actual CFP, 3 of the 4 teams still made the Final Four, with the one being eliminated in the Elite 8.

And here we are. The Final Four of the 2016 FAN NCAA College Football Playoff, brought to you by NCAA 14.
Our first matchup features the No. 1 seed Alabama Crimson Tide facing off against the No. 5 seed Oklahoma Sooners.
The first quarter starts out slow, as Oklahoma uses a no huddle defense, but milks the clock with this no huddle, marching down the field in a 14-play drive to get the first touchdown. But it's a costly first drive, as Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma's Heisman finalist at QB, is injured on the 13th play, and is out the rest of the game with a concussion.
Alabama comes right back, marching down the field, but can only muster a field goal, as the quarter ends with Oklahoma driving and the lead, 7-3.
Oklahoma starts out the second quarter with a bang as well, marching down field, and scoring another touchdown, putting them up 14-3 to the shock of Tide Nation. But the Tide will not falter, as they march down field for a touchdown to cut the lead to four. Kyler Murray, the back up QB for Oklahoma, marches them down the field as well, and scores another touchdown, putting the Sooners up 21-10. Alabama is driving, but Hurts makes the first mistake of the game, throwing a pick into tight coverage, and the Sooners take over!!
On the next drive, Murray is injured, and now the Sooners are down to their 3rd-string QB, Kendall. And he gets strip-sacked, and the Tide recover!! They take advantage, scoring a TD late, and the Sooners go into halftime only up 21-17.
Alabama starts the second half with the ball, and on their second play, Hurts throws his 2nd INT. But Kendall, 3rd stringer and all, makes a boneheaded play and throws an INT on his second play. Alabama takes over, but goes three and out, and punts the ball back to Oklahoma. Kendall shrugs off that INT, and marches the Sooners down the field for another touchdown, extending the Sooner lead to 28-17.
Alabama gets the ball back and tries to do something with it, but again, another 3 and out, and they punt it back to Oklahoma, and the Tide faithful are looking pretty grim right now, and Saban may want a small army to get him back to Tuscaloosa.
But on the first play of their drive, Oklahoma FUMBLES THE BALL!!! Alabama recovers, And they march down the field and get a touchdown!! Oklahoma gets the ball back, and on their first play again, IT'S ANOTHER FUMBLE!!! AND ALABAMA RECOVERS AGAIN!! They march quickly down field, and score another touchdown to take a 31-28 lead going into the fourth quarter!! The momentum has completely shifted!!
Oklahoma starts the fourth quarter marching down the field. The drive stalls, but instead of kicking the field goal attempt, they go for it on 4th down!! It's nearly picked off, but the Tide take over!! Many will be questioning that play call after the game. Alabama tries another drive, but it's another 3 and out, and they punt. Murray comes back in late in the fourth, and marches the Sooners down the field. The drive stalls, and they kick the field goal with less than a minute to go to tie it up!! Alabama decides to be conservative and milks the rest of the clock, and we're going to OVERTIME!!!
Bama gets the ball first and scores on two plays, going up 38-31! Oklahoma comes right back and scores on three plays, tying it up at 38, and we go to Double OT!! Oklahoma then scores a TD, going back up 45-38. Bama swings right back, and we're tied at 45, going into Triple OT! Now, PATs are thrown out the window, and you have to go for two.
Bama starts with the ball and scores another TD! They go for 2, and Hurts runs it in!! Murray leads the Sooners back into the endzone, and now they're 2 points away from tying it up. Murray then runs it in, and we're tied at 53 going into a FOURTH OVERTIME!!!
Oklahoma starts with it, and they get close, but it's fourth and goal at the one, and they kick the field goal, only going up by 3. Alabama sees the opportunity, and in 4 plays, they score a touchdown off a one yard rush by Harris!! Alabama has punched their ticket to the National Championship!!
No. 1 Alabama outlasts No. 5 Oklahoma, 59-56, in 4OT.

And now, the second matchup of the Final Four, as the 2-seed Clemson takes on the 11-seed Ohio State.
And Ohio State doesn't waste any time, as they march out to a 14-0 lead early in the first. But Clemson is able to get on the scoreboard late, and after 1, it's 14-7 Ohio State.
Ohio State starts the second quarter by marching down the field, but can only get a field goal, and now leads 17-7. Clemson starts a drive, but on the second play, Watson fumbles on a read option, and the Buckeyes pounce on it! They take the opportunity to get another touchdown, and now lead 24-7. Watson shrugs off the fumble, and leads the Tigers on a TD drive, with a 37-yard score to cap it off! Both teams add a field goal late, and Ohio State leads at the half, 27-17.
Clemson gets the ball to start the second half, and they march down the field again, and score another TD to pull within 3! Ohio State comes back, marches down the field, but the drive stalls, and they have to settle for a field goal! Clemson tries to capitalize, but they can only get 3 on their next drive as well, and are down 30-27 going into the 4th quarter.
Ohio State takes advantage, marching down the field, and scores another touchdown, putting them up 37-27!! Clemson gets the ball back, and marches down field, but halfway through the drive, Watson goes down with an injury. It turned out to be just a back spasm, but the Tiger Faithful held their breath as the Tigers continued to march with their backup QB. Finally, they punched it in on a triple option, and were down 37-34.
Ohio State marched down the field, and it looked like they were going to gain another TD and the dagger, but a lapse in judgement stopped this, as Barrett passed to Wilson, and Wilson WENT OUT OF BOUNDS ONE YARD SHORT OF THE FIRST DOWN ON THIRD DOWN!! So they kicked the field goal, and were up 40-34 with under 2 minutes left in the game.
Watson came back in for Clemson, and he marched the Tigers all the way down the field. An 8-play drive came down to 4th down, and Watson tossed it to the endzone, and McCloud III CAME DOWN WITH IT FOR A TOUCHDOWN!!! Clemson took the lead, 41-40 with under a minute to go!!
Ohio State got it back, and up to this point, JT Barrett was 21-21 on pass attempts. However, the first two passes on this drive, he missed his receivers badly. On third down, he tossed it down the middle, and IT'S PICKED OFF!!!! Clemson with the pick makes the thrilling comeback after being down 24-7 early, rallies for a date in the National Championship with Alabama!!
No. 2 Clemson survives No. 11 Ohio State, 41-40.

Another crazy stat:
Out of all the matchups, there have been 11 times where a team was leading at the half. The W-L for the team leading at the half? 6-5.

And now, the moment has come. It started with 16 teams, and now we're down to 2 teams. And not a surprise it's the 1-seed facing the 2-seed. Alabama goes toe to toe with Clemson in the Outback Bowl for the National Championship.
Alabama started out strong, marching down the field and striking first with a touchdown. But Clemson came right back and scored a touchdown to respond and tie it up at 7. Late in the quarter, Alabama marches down the field again, but the drive stalls. And then, to the surprise of everyone, Saban elects to go for it on 4th and 1. And they go for the home run ball, but it's batted away by the Clemson defense. And the quarter ends with the score tied at 7.
Clemson starts off the second quarter with the ball and moves down field, getting in the endzone and taking the lead, 14-7. Alabama comes right back and scores a touchdown to tie it up again. Clemson got the ball back, but the drive stalls and they punt it back to Bama. But on Bama's third play, they try to throw a quick screen, and it's PICKED OFF!! Clemson picks it off and runs it back 20 yards for the score!! Alabama shrugs it off though and marches back down field to score and tie it up again. Clemson tries to get a drive going to score late, but Watson is picked off as well!! Alabama takes advantage and marches quickly down the field late and scores to take a halftime lead, 28-21.
The third quarter was a slow affair, both teams punting the ball numerous times back to each other. Then, Alabama marches down the field late and scores again, going up 35-21 going into the fourth quarter.
Clemson marches down the field to start the 4th quarter, and ends up scoring a touchdown, going down 35-28. Alabama gets the ball back, and marches down the field as Clemson tries to stop them. They force a 4th down late, but Alabama gets a field goal to go up by ten. Clemson marches down the field quickly and scores a TD late, but is unable to get the onside kick, and 'Bama secures a second straight National Championship!!
No. 1 Alabama defeats No. 2 Clemson, 38-35
