Honestly, I'd rather not see WWE bend over backwards to protect every top wrestler's finisher. Personally I love the visual of seeing them have to hit their reliable finishers multiple times, then needing to break out a rarer, more deadly move to get the job done. I'll agree that yes, it should be saved for big shows. But I enjoy a good kickout-fest. Certain I'm in the minority there, but that wouldn't be new for me. Kickout-fests are great if the moves are protected, though. The problem is that we've got to the point where people are kicking out of AA's and Poppa Powerbombs in TV matches, so there's no reason to think that the first one will put anyone away. Kickouts shouldn't be a crutch to get a pop, that's lazy ringwork. Well that's what I said, it should be saved for the big shows. I don't want to see dramatic near falls in every other TV match either. But if it's a big card and a marquee match and say, Owens was facing someone like Goldberg, if Owens was to go over I'd rather it'd be with more than one poppabomb.

Is anyone besides Jim Cornette calling for finishers that are actually Mortal Kombat fatalities, though? The issue is that everyone in the upper midcard and above almost always kick out of the first finisher on PPVs unless it's a crazy spot. Ziggler shouldn't be kicking out of the SCF like he has been, for example.

Eh, with Ziggler, I was fine with him kicking out of SCFs because I thought they were finally going to put him on a consistent winning streak. I admit my prediction was wrong. But whenever they decide to you-know-what or get off the pot with him, then no, I don't think one SCF should be enough to kill him.

But that's the issue, they aren't pushing him so it just devalues the IC Champ's finisher because that's the only way agents know how to build drama anymore.

Has anyone kicked out of SHIELD's triple-powerbomb?

Has anyone kicked out of SHIELD's triple-powerbomb? Now I'm imagining May and Daisy lifting Hydra fools up for Mack to put through the floor.

Well, if we're also discussing moves of the past, Yokozuna's banzai drop was pretty much a death move.

Sid, Rock, 'Taker, Lesnar, and I think think HHH all kicked out of it in WWE. Maybe Yoko too. Goldberg and Luger in WCW, probably more that I don't remember.

We're so used to kick outs and finisher fests these days that when somebody does their finisher one time and wins the match, its a shock!
He did!
It looked bad on paper, but their match at Hell In A Cell 2012 is one of the best big man matches I've ever seen!

Forgot that Sheamus kicked out of the WMD, but I don't believe anyone has kicked out of Corbin's End of Days yet, in NXT or the main roster. Possibly Apollo Crews kicked out on an NXT Takeover but I can't really recall...
Also, I think the Masterlock (outside of Masterlock challenges) hasn't ever been broken legit, clean.
