Jesus Christ ten minutes of bullshit before the show really starts Man, I thought you were being kind of harsh but they literally had commercials, pretended to start the show, more commercials, pretended to start the show, more commercials. Then commercials. I have like a 25 minute drive home from work and they’ve barely started.

Why no selfie with Stephanie though?
Just kidding I'm glad Bruce saw his friends.
They're also gonna perform in a Predators game. This is growing beyond a wrestling podcast.

If you've noticed, their first three shows seem to be tied to something...Philadelphia/Brooklyn with the Nets and some sort of wrestling convention, then the Panthers and their Wrestling Night. I'm guessing they experienced law of diminishing returns with their live shows and are looking to do co-promotions which is smart on their part to keep costs down, if its why they did it.

They’ve must. They couldn’t convert 600,000 into a few thousand Facebook likes. For a show heavy on listener interaction, that isn’t good.

I blame the Facebook thing on the Paul Heyman live broadcast debacle. It really turned people off.

It makes sense to follow the wrestling events, since you already have fans in the area. You don't have to work to bring them into the market, just market to those fans that are already there.

I fear doing all these anniversary ones so close to each other might get redundant.
Given this was an era of once-a-month PPVs, it seems we're going to get a lot of similar ground covered between the 30th anniversary of 1988, the 20th anniversary of 1998 and the 15th anniversary of 2003.
Polls look great though, and No Way Out 98 and 03 both have my interest. But given how detailed they cover both the build-up and follow-though of the angles in these PPV-centric shows, are they either going to hold back on the detail of the follow-up or just chat-each-other-up about previously covered ground?

I want to hear No Way Out 98, purely for the inevitable question: "Savio Vega in your main event? Really?"

This could actually be just the opposite. Partnering with the the NHL and NBA seems like a pretty major business move as opposed to a sign that there shows are faltering.

They’re going to repeatedly cover the same material until the end of time. They only cover upper mid card to main event guys as single career episodes, which they’ll then go over again in detail in the “read matches results for 2 hours to build a PPV” format they do now. There’s not that many stories to cover.

There’s not that many stories to cover. There actually is. In fact, there's at least 12 a year from 1996-2007 alone, not to mention the years Bruce was with the company where there were only 4 major shows plus TV specials. There's full years we haven't had episode from yet. It seems the plans are to run to the 1998 and 1988 wells quite a bit too soon.

Love to see a crossover with What Happened When, or at least a two parter between the two podcasts when they go long form into the career of El El Gigante / Giant Gonzalez career in WCW and the WWF.

88 rumble was an important show or nah? It was the 1st one, Hogan-Andre contract signing and I think Bruce had mentioned he wrote the show. Apparently its only 2 hours and change (today's episode) so it should be quick.
