This was just on London Tonight, which is one of ITV's main news broadcasts.

I wonder if this is why Neville has disappeared from TV. Doubt it has anything to do with this. They've stuck exclusively with non-contracted UK indie guys because their end goal is seemingly to make a UK exclusive weekly TV show segregated from the main roster.

Roy Johnson is a rather odd signing. He's not bad, but still pretty damn green. Also, I'm surprised they haven't signed Pastor William Eaver. The guy has been pretty open about his desire to be in the WWE.

Interestingly, Adam Pacitti did an interview with Regal who said that a) there would be no limits on where talent worked (depending on contracts obviously) and b) this wasn't a response to World of Sport (which we could probably guess from what Trips had been saying for God knows how long). The Blampied response seems to be positive but maybe that's because WCPW has less to lose for the moment. youtu.be/45yJa_aXqX8

The only guys listed that I like are Dunne and Trent but this should be fun. Also great to see Nigel in WWE.

I hate this. All the great, amazing UK indy stuff that's popped up over the past couple of years, Trips is gonna f***ing snuff it out, because all that talent is gonna want to be part of "WWEUK". But why wouldn't you want all of the UK's top talent in one place working together and earning more than they would for the smaller promotions? Damn those sell out indy guys for screwing over the fans by choosing to work for the biggest wrestling company in the world who every wrestling fan dreams of wrestling for...... Selfish pricks.

Well, maybe he likes seeing those wrestlers work with each other in an unfettered environment, one that he might be able to see live? Perhaps he feels that much of this talent will be signed and essentially have to sit out a good deal of the proceedings, as has happened with other talent.

And that could be as simple as trying to get more UK subscriptions. The nice thing about on demand services is you don't have to watch things you don't want to watch. But you want to have a lot of content there to appeal to a diverse amount of people. I don't think anyone would sit around complaining that netflix or hulu have to much content. Yeah, this is the least of the concerns I have and probably the reason they're doing it. Heck, I wouldn't be shocked if the long term goal isn't having everything on the Network and cutting out the middle man of cable. Nobody goes "Man, Netflix has Sense8, Daredevil AND House of Cards?! There's too much content that I must watch and follow when I don't have to watch any of them!" I assume some of those Netflix shows are good though. Speaking for myself, it's less that there's 'too much' of anything and more that WWE's core output, RAW and PPVs, are rarely good and their side projects aren't too hot. SD is holding together for now. NXT's hype has dwindled dramatically and 205 is still in its infancy. If WWE's view is, 'let's just sign people and give them platforms' without fixing their main problems then they're going to run into problems. I'd say they already are.

The problem right now is that the company feels almost like two different ones. There's one planning for the future, assembling great talent and establishing new markets or growing older ones. The other company has to learn to adapt and enhance these ideas, talents and markets. Right now, it feels like one side of the company is doing the work that the other side is lacking behind in which doesn't seem super healthy in the short term never mind the long.

But seriously, since WWE's just about breaking all the pretty things, I wonder how they plan to horn in on Lucha Underground's territory next.

I have no issue with WWE doing this as a business move. I just don't see why it should be a TV project (Network, whatever.) If 205 Live is anything to go by, WWE will sign every last person in this tournament and then some regardless of their ability. WWE already has the best roster its ever had though and most of the roster struggles immensely to matter. WWE's response to that shouldn't be 'more, more more, how do you like it, how do you like it?' Its response probably should be to consider why Neville can't get any TV time or why Barrett left partly in frustration.

How will I know if that's the UK Championship if it doesn't have a Union Jack, Blue police box and Red double decker bus plates on it?

Maybe he doesn't want to see what happened to the territories happen again, with WWE signing away all their top talent and they ultimately go out of business . but, if I may steal your snarky sarcasm for a moment, how dare other promotions try to succeed in defiance of WWE's attempted monopoly of the wrestling industry...... Selfish pricks.
