On another board i used to frequent, many of the posters would post "this day in history" results from various federations (which would lead to discussions). I thought that would be an idea that could be be brought to this board, starting with this show: (from thehistoryofwwe.com):
WWF @ East Rutherford, NJ - Meadowlands - December 16, 1990 (7,700) Shane Douglas pinned Black Bart The Big Bossman pinned Bobby Heenan at the 10-second mark Sgt. Slaughter pinned Dusty Rhodes The Legion of Doom defeated the Orient Express & Mr. Fuji in a handicap match Jake Roberts defeated Rick Martel via disqualification Saba Simba pinned Bob Bradley Davey Boy Smith fought the Warlord to a double count-out The Bushwhackers, WWF Tag Team Champions Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart defeated Greg Valentine, the Honkytonk Man, Paul Roma, & Hercules when Bret pinned Valentine (Honky's last match; his last appearance for 6 years)

A DQ and a double countout? It's a house show, give them some clean finishes.

Sgt. Slaughter vs. Dusty Rhodes...how often did that match happen? Because that feels like a match that would have been a great headline feud in Mid-Atlantic in the early 80s.

I was thinking the same thing. A heel Slaughter vs. a babyface Dusty in an all-out bloodbath would've been a huge draw. Also interesting how 2 of those matches ended up on the WM7 card. Neat.

Terrible card at the time, lacking starpower Shane was a nobody, Saba a massive flop, crappy Rhythm&Blues team...only redeeming qualities are the Jake/Martel and Slaughter/Dusty (not a match for workrate freaks ) matches

It was 1990 and Heenan and Fuji were both active participants in matches. Yeesh.

WWF @ East Rutherford, NJ - Meadowlands - December 16, 1990 (7,700) I find it funny that you posted a card from 1990. I went to my first show (that I remember) about two weeks before this. WWF @ Anchorage, AK - Sullivan Arena - December 1, 1990 The British Bulldog pinned Buddy Rose Sgt. Slaughter pinned Jim Duggan after Gen. Adnan interfered Kerry Von Erich defeated Mr. Perfect via disqualification Koko B. Ware pinned Black Bart The Legion of Doom defeated the Orient Express & Mr. Fuji in a handicap match Hulk Hogan pinned Earthquake There was also a match between Tugboat and Dino Bravo, but they didn't mention it.

At the time, I would have thought that card was crap, but today, I would have given plenty to see it.
