woke up this morning to an email from my counselor. At our last session, I had requested that she help me with writing prompts to possibly get me back in my groove and get some things completed and I'd be all warmed up for NaNoWriMo in three weeks. Instead, it was a question about money. Nice to know how much she's given a shit about me. If I wanted to feel like a number and a dollar sign, there are thousands of companies that can do that to me with no out-of-pocket expense or special insurance for. 2 years ago, my therapist gave me a take-home questionnaire that was a semi-official test for OCD, to see if I have it or not. I'm still waiting for her to tell me the results. Or to even mention that that test exists.

Seeing 3 From Hell tomorrow. Didn’t even realize Rob Zombie made a Devils Rejects sequel until recently, and they’re doing an encore showing in one of my local theatres. Excited to go watch it!

Holy shit. In my rewatch of one of my all time favorite shows, Homicide Life On The Streets, I completely forgot about the season six three parter with James Earl Jones and Jeffrey Wright as father and son.
So much talent, so much epicness in this scene as they spar back and forth under the quiet gaze of Andre Braugher's Detective Pembleton.

Just watched the more recent "Conan makes NYC Pizza", but this came to my mind as it is one of my favourites.

I posted awhile ago about the struggle with my mother pushing to get a pet and my fighting to convince her it was a bad time financially and everything else. Well, after that garage sale with the cat, it was all she talked about for a week+ and I finally told her "You get something, it's yours, it's not allowed in my bedroom, and I want nothing at all to do with it." She acted like it was some huge change over what I've told her in the past (it's not) and began talking about what she'd get and how great it'd be. I was hedging my bets on her talking herself out of it eventually, and my grandmother took up my fight that she couldn't afford it, she had enough going on, yada yada.
First she said she'd wait a week because we were busy with errands, more garage sales, and my Grandmother's birthday and wouldn't be home a lot. Then she told us on Grandma's birthday she'd wait to get the cat until after Christmas so it wouldn't destroy her tree. This past weekend, when I went to talk to her about errands, she informed me she'd had a nightmare that she had gotten a cat but it had fleas and the fleas were all over the house in all of our stuff, and she'd decided we don't need a cat after all, "however nice it would be". haha. I figure she'll change her mind a million more times, but whatever.

The latest episode of my YT channel's MMA preview show is online.
I'm looking to try and get a career in broadcasting, so any suggestions on things I can improve would be appreciated. I'm the one with the glasses and beard BTW:

I downloaded Kritta because I wanted to have a shiny new art program for my shiny new computer and I think I've made a mistake. I've opened the programs four or five times and the first two times, I closed it right back up. I started looking up tutorials on YouTube, but I'm still lost. I will happily accept help from people that made the jump from photoshop 6 to Kritta.

Every December, my radio station hosts a big end of year concert they call "The Nutcracker" and without fail, my mother hears them promote it and says, "Omg, Nutcracker! I love that play, we should go!" then the inevitable let down when I remind her it's a heavy rock concert. This summer, it was announced that as part of the series of shows coming to our local civic center, for the first time ever, they were going to do The Nutcracker ballet three times, then I heard they had a discount on tickets so I went to see what was up, and they were all front row balcony seats, which I like best anyway because we can actually see that way without struggling to see over people. So I've had these tickets since August, and I squirreled away some money so we can go out to eat, and that's going to be her Christmas present, that I give her either on Thanksgiving or the day after since the ballet is before Christmas. Well, I paint rocks sometimes for this "kindness rocks" project in my area, and every time she sees me with one, she tells me I should paint her something and I probably will end up fussing over it a bunch more (his teeth are pissing me off so much ffs) until I get to Walmart and buy something to seal it with, but I've been working on this, and I'm not great at anything to do with art (I'm much more at home with words) but I tried. so yeh. I hope she likes it all. x.x

Three days into a bout of a cold, and it shows no sign of relenting.
On the plus side, I’ve caught up with lots of films and TV I’ve had on the back burner. Every cloud...

I tried asking a girl out at work, who told me she was really not interested.
I expected a no, but it was the REALLY part that hurt the most.

The rock is sealed and has a stand now. Two weeks until I put everything together and give it to my mother. Yay
