I think I remember reading that Raw currently has all the ex sitcom writers and SDL has people who worked on NXT. Is that true?

That's the belief. The main dude from 2013-2015 NXT is the head writer for Smackdown. He was moved up late last year. Which is why I feel NXT has suffered in the storyline department the last year.

Yeah, when they first announced the brand split the newz sites were saying Smackdown was getting a lot of NXT people behind the scenes. I think I also read that even though Vince still has final say on Smackdown, Triple H is mainly in charge.
I don't know how true any of this is though so take it for what you will.

All that's really known is that the former NXT writer is on Smackdown, Jimmy Jacobs is one of the Raw guys, and that Vince is still somehow involved with Smackdown. Whether he's sitting in on meetings and writing shit, or he's just okaying the program, we don't really know.

Ryan Ward is the former NXT guy. Apparently, he hit on Eden Stiles (Cody Rhodes wife).

Apparently Ed Koskey is the lead writer for Raw and has been since 2013. So that explains the lack of change with Raw and why Smackdown feels more like NXT, since Ryan Ward was the head writer there until late last year.

Well only an ex-sitcom writer would find this funny
