 What was the point of taking off Christopher and only having Daniels as the name. He helped Team Jarrett and had a match with Shane Douglas with his career on the line. What a time to be alive for Christopher Daniels. |

Because who can take anyone named Christopher seriously? Besides the other wrestlers named that and were successful. They could called him Fallen Angel Christopher or something like that. "Daniels" is the name of someone getting ready to job on WCW Saturday Night.

At least there, "Christopher Daniels" is a f***load longer than the other two names, so I can see the benefit of keeping it short.

I don't remember him being introduced as only Daniels.
You sure theydidn't just put Christopher Daniels on the graphic because it is legitimately 10 characters longer than Samoa Joe and AJ Styles

You sure theydidn't just put Christopher Daniels on the graphic because it is legitimately 10 characters longer than Samoa Joe and AJ Styles No, I remember them specifically billing him as "Daniels" because it was so ridiculous. It was right before Hogan came in too, when they had that 6 month run of looking like a competent company. |

To clarify my earlier position, I was mostly saying that in the graphic in the OP, it'd look kinda terrible if they put his full name, given the text would either be much smaller, or it wouldn't fit.
As just a name to call him, yes, Daniels is a bit silly.

It didn't help that Tenay and Taz kept f***ing up and calling him Christopher Daniels.
It was similar during hardcore justice where Tenay said that for legal reasons they couldn't say "ECW" but then they said it several times during the broadcast.

Yeah, I remember this, and I never understood it. Never got why WWE did it with Cesaro, Rusev, or Neville, either. A lot of it was during the phase where Russo was booking him to hear some kind of dark angelic voice in his head, which went nowhere, as Russo angles are wont to do.
