Going on hiatus at the end of the arc as Gegege no Kitaro is taking its slot. There is a new DB movie coming out at the end of the year so maybe this will give us the timeskip that the series kinda needs.

Yea I am thinking a big ass time skip is coming...and somehow Trunks and Goten will remain as is.
I think this might be there way of writing Bulma away after the voice actress passing.
Adult Kale and Caulifla incoming and some how will be even more insufferable when they show they are SSB because it is just inevitable they will get that.

How long will this arc last? End of March. I'm still hoping that Goku revives all the universes to live in U7. Then remembers King Kai again.

If I had to guess, the ToP will end on a cliffhanger

This can´t be happening, this arc made me love Dragonball just as much as I did as a kid. I cant live without my weekly dose.

Could be a translation thing but I took this as "This series is ending but they'll be another one soon" because, well, it'd be bizarre to say "Well, no more DB Anime!" considering how well the series has been doing internationally.
Series might be different in the West than it is in Japan, like how the old definition of Series was in the UK before we took on Seasons from America but hey.

Yea i'm guessing they are ending Super and moving on to whatever else they are going to call it next based upon tweet you put and link I had in previous post with quotes I doubt they would just kill the series at this point now with it seeming like it has finally hit that stride everyone was hoping for

Just don’t have the next one have an arc involving whatever the movie is. Just say it’s canon (or not canon) and move on.

From what I heard Dragon Ball made 48 billion yen last year, wouldn't make sense to axe it.

Maybe super will end and the next series will be a time jump (it won't, But one can hope).
Plus 9 months - 1 year to wait is nothing compared to some American/British shows (Always sunny, Nu Who*), wasn't "Attack on Titan" a long wait between seasons?
* the gap between series 4 & 5 was almost 2 years

I should point out that the involvement in the latest Yo-Kai Watch movie was a creative way to reintroduce Gegege no Kitaro to a new generation.
Okay, on topic, I'm guessing that they want to create a new show using what they've pulled off with the Tournament arc, because the movie arcs were just a two hour movie stretched to 13 episodes. Its a completely different series.
On a serious topic, if this isn't the case, I can see Super end on a cliffhanger, like chrom suggested. Like, Goku wins the tournament, and he knows what he will wish... Only for the Grand Priest to get involved.
