Did Air BNB with 4 other people. Was good.
Food: Cochon/The Butcher - Sandwiches, delicious. Sazerac Bar - Historic cocktails The Gumbo Shop - ...Gumbo. Cafe Du Monde - The tourist trap beignet spot, still worth it. Dat Dog - Sausage place.
Many more.

It all depends on what you want to do while down there. If you want to get drunk and maybe see a few ok bands stick to the French Quarter. It is fairly safe and has all you need.
But if you want to not over pay for drinks, avoid tourist trap bars and see damn good bands you gotta go outside the Quarter.
Also when you know you are going down let me know. There is Wildkat Sports that runs the NOLA area almost every month,Elev8 Pro that runs 10 to 20 minutes outside NOLA every 6 weeks and Elite that runs Houma, not far from NOLA,every month. So lots of good indy wrestling in that area.
One last thing Madame Louvuoueres house of Voodoo thing isn't worth going to see. It was hokey as hell back in the early 90s and hasn't improved since then.

And getting drunk would absolutely be on the agenda.

I haven't been yet, though my friends up here in Jersey City swear by going down there as often as possible.
The one thing I've seen them post about on social media that I'd say you must try to do is to go and see Dr. John perform, because goddamn, it's Dr. John!

And getting drunk would absolutely be on the agenda. There are plenty of fun haunted NOLA tours.Since you do want to get drunk it is kind of a thing that you have to goto Pat O'Brians and have a hurricane. For me the best bar in NOLA is The John. Small corner bar. Half the chairs are old recycled toilets and it has a nice quiet feel. Also if you want to try out a good mix of Mexican and Cajun food go to one of the two Juan's Flying Burrito restaurants. The one on Magazine street is bigger and less packed with tourists. But it is harder to find a place to park at that one. The other location is smaller but is much easier to park by. Also keep this in mind NOLA cops do not play. They will haul you in for tiny infractions. Had a buddy get hauled in cause his pocket knife was barely over the legal length limit in LA. Back when I was in high school, the early 90s,whenever we skipped school we would drive over to NOLA. It wasn't but a bit over an hour over there. And at least back then if you had facial hair most of hte bars would serve ya. One thing and it has gotten worse over the years,NOLA has a huge amount of conmen. Expect to be approached by some shady looking people offering to sell you "stuff" or wanting to make a bet with you. "I bet you 10 bucks I can tell you where you got your shoes?" is a common on. If you agree, they will then tell ya "You got your shoes on INSERT STREET NAME HERE!" and demand their money. Pretty much try not to talk to anyone that looks shady in NOLA. No idea about now, seems like the House of Blues is the new hot spot for music, but back when I was going to lots of shows in NOLA they were usually at Tipatina's or The Dungeon. Both are great bars. But the Dungeon might be a bit much for some people.

I'm thinking about doing Wrestlemania 34. My kids will be old enough. Make a whole week vacation out of it. So this thread is handy for me too.
