While still under contract to their old one?
I never did before, so I'm curious to what the process is.
This person from T-mobile explained to me most of it, and I seem into it, but I was curious if anyone else did it?
So, apparently I still have 3 months left on my old contract (I didn't know that ATT stopped doing it last year), so it looks like I have to deal with an early termination fee.
Does anyone know how much it usually is?
I read the steps to get the Tmobile to take care of it, but apparently, I have to give them my old phone and submit my ATT bill to them?
Can I do this at the physical store instead of submitting things online and sending them my phone through the mail? I never had a Final bill before. So how am I supposed to give that to them anyway? Scan a paper bill? Does the old company send you a pdf and you can e-mail it to the new one?
Apparently, they don't technically your old bill but reimburse you later?
The sales rep also gave me some promotional code to get $150 for each converted line. Does that count as the reimbursement or is it on top of it (which would be nice to cover the cost of the new phone's deposit + tax)?
I think I read something about an automatic Visa E-card and I think some people said you get a gift card in the mail. Which one is it?
I'm considering just returning the phone and waiting the 3 months for my old contract to expire to avoid the headache.

I just switched to T-Mobile, but I wasn't under contract any longer, so I had a different situation. Only question I can answer you with certainty is that I received a MasterCard gift card from them a little over a month after I switched over.

I did but it's been a long time.
I dropped sprint after my phone broke it was a few hundred I think, but it was cheaper than buying a new phone out of contract.
