So I'm re watching some of the Luke Cage episodes(Jidenna performance still rewind worthy) and wanted to get your thoughts in general. Without including DC vs Marvel movies people say without a doubt a the tv versions within their own shared universe are very good.
Outside of agents of shield it helps Marvel that they do a lot on Netflix and can bring a gritty approach. What helps DC is that they are able to tie all their series together since they all run with each other. In either case they both are doing a good job with the tv series world building

Marvel is more adult oriented, and DC has more teen Dawsons Creek type drama on it. So it depends which you prefer at the time.

If you include Netflix stuff this is gonna be a blowout (Except one guy). If you don't it still will be but towards the side without the Anchor of SHIELD around it's neck.

This is a tough call.
Shield has been up and down... but so has Arrow... Arrow at it's peak is probably better than Shield... but I'd also say it's lows are way worse than Agents has ever been.
Daredevil Season 1 is probably my pick for best superhero related "television" show though.
eh... screw it Marvel but it's close.

DC. More fun, less preoccupied with "teh edge", has lovable characters
...Except Arrow. Arrow can chew on it.

Depends on my mood. Flash and Luke Cage both kick ass.

Apples to oranges.
Marvel's Netflix shows are not beholden to regular TV guidelines, and can pretty much do whatever they want. They also aim solely for the adult audience.
Agents of Shield and DC's shows air on regular broadcast TV. They are beholden to the guidelines. They mostly aim for the teen/young adult audience.
Asking something like "Why isn't Supergirl as good as Jessica Jones" or "Why isn't Arrow as good as Daredevil" doesn't make sense.
Different shows made for different platforms aimed at different audiences.

DCTV is our family television it is the one thing everyone agrees to watch with out World War 3 taking place. Marvel on Netflix does the same for me and the hubs.

DC. Like them both but DC shows are more fun. When I'm home from work in the limited time I have before I go to bed that's what I want out of a meta human show.

Can't get into DCTV. My friends love it but I was burned with Smallville, yo.
Loved Daredevil Season 1. Only cared to check out season 2 and didn't really dig it.

I'd go with DC.
- Arrow USED to be a great show. - Legends of Tomorrow is awful. - iZombie is pretty good. - Flash is pretty bad, but some episodes are fun. - Supergirl is bad.
Marvel:
- Agents of Shield is a dumpster fire. - DareDevil is pretty good. I don't love it as much as most, but it's fun. - I know a lot of people loved it, but I thought Jennifer Jones sucked. If David Tennant wasn't in it (RHYMEZ!), it would've been unwatchable. - Luke Cage is good for about 5-6 episodes. I read the third act was awful and that turned out to be true. The acting is also pretty f***ing bad.
DC has the edge because they have the 'god card' in the form of Batman: The Animated Series. I would argue that Marvel STILL hasn't topped that with anything they've done.
Also, not to hijack the thread, but wasn't there a Superboy series once upon a time? I seem to remember an episode I watched a lot as a kid where he blew his ice breath on a bottle of milk and fought a samurai-type guy. It was the greatest episode of any show ever put on television.

I forgot to mention.
Gotham is stupid and I can't wait till it's cancelled.

There are good and bads with each. But I prefer DC.
Arrow has been utter garbage the last few... forever.
But the Netflix shows are just so dull and plodding. I watched them all, but sheesh, Netflix does not benefit from the lack of week to week shows.

It depends, the Marvel Netflix stuff as a whole is better, but the DC shows are generally more fun.
DC's tv is almost the polar opposite of its movies.
I like both though. DD, Jessica Jones, and Cage are all great; and I really like Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow as well. I like Arrow too, but its quality has really dipped.

I stopped watching Arrow Season 3 and it seems like people still says it really didn't recover what it had from season 1.

Apples and oranges to me really. Marvel can delve into more adult comic stories because of where they are viewed on. Whereas DC has to bend to a more stereotypical TV series format. I prefer DCTV because it got me interested in Green Arrow (someone I was never interested in before), The Flash is my favorite superhero so the show scratches that itch, and in general the DC stuff tends to feel more like comics to screen imo. I get that the writing is not as strong as the Netflix shows but that's typical of a lot of other shows as well. So really I don't compare them. I enjoy the hell out of Daredevil (JJ and Luke Cage I liked but not a huge fan of the characters in comics so it's hard to say I loved the shows) and I still religiously watch the DCTV shows every week.

Sticking with just the live action shows.
DC
Arrow-I want Green Arrow not Batman with a bow. Watched the first season and gave up. Flash-First season was really good. Second season was crap so gave up. Gotham-Interesting idea that is a show that doesn't work for me. Even though I love most of the cast. Supergirl-Loved season 1. And what I have seen of season 2 looks good. Constantine-Yeah I know it is cancelled. But for me this was the best live action DC show since Wonder Woman in the 70s.
Overall, and Constantine skews the grade a lot,the DC tv stuff gets a C+
Marvel
Agents of Shield-Watched the first season, mostly cause I am a huge fan of Ming Na,it is OK but nothing I would bother watching weekly. Daredevil-Saw season 1 and half of season 2. Damn good show. Jessica Jones-The best TV show from Marvel so far. But then I am a huge fan of the Alias comic book. Luke Cage-Seen half of season 1 and it is pretty good.
So for me Marvel has the better TV stuff. But then I have always been more of a Marvel fan than DC. It wasn't until Wolfman and Perez started up New Teen Titans that I got into DC that much. Well it was that that got me into DC's cape stuff. Before then I was already reading lots of their horror and war anthologies.
