It depends, the Marvel Netflix stuff as a whole is better, but the DC shows are generally more fun. Basically. Although all live action superhero TV suffers from the same two problems: too many episodes and not enough money to pull off the SFX needed to make superpowers look decent.

I think the DC shows should move to the 12 episode format
IMO 20+ episodes is too long

I don't have Netflix, so my only exposure to the MCU TV Shows is Agents of Shield and Agent Carter. So the DCTVU wins out easily there.

I'm a go with the DC shows. They seem to be allowed to take more chances with the source material, and they make use of the history/rogues to a greater extent. Deathstroke from season 2 of Arrow may be my favorite villain on any show. Flash is doing a 2 part Gorilla city episode this year, and Legends has the Legion of Doom. It's just a more expansive universe.
With that said I love the Netflix shows. Both seasons of Daredevil make me very happy.

Marvel. Only show I really lost interest in was Agent Carter.
Only show I actually enjoy from DC is Gotham.

I actually love both. Netflix is for me the top tier stuff for Marvel, then Agent Carter. SHIELD was so unsatisfying in the third season, I haven't even watched the fourth. D.C. Stuff is OK, especially Flash, but only the CW stuff. Couldn't make it past three episodes of Gotham. So unlikable characters.
So... depends on tastes.

Yeah, I forgot about Gotham... I hate that show. Why the hate on Gotham? I was going try take a crack at the show? I probably asked this before Even as someone who likes the show, it's batshit insane with more swerves than a year's worth of Russo booking. It started off as a relatively standard police/mob drama with a sprinkling of Batman lore... then when it didn't quite get the ratings and critical acclaim hoped for they started throwing a ton of crazy into the mix, and for the most part it's worked. Pretty much every episode has been well-received by critics from the start of season two onwards, but it's definitely not purist-friendly, and almost every character is kind of an asshole one way or another. Definitely a show you're either down with or utterly despise.

So essentially it's a weird mix of critics liking it despite them getting away from their original vision but something about the show just doesn't click right ? Yea seems like one of those things where you either like it or you just throw your hands up and say f*** it. With a show like that you might as well take liberties and create your own lore/universe.

As much as I love Daredevil and Luke Cage, I gotta go DC.
The Flash and Supergirl are a lot of fun and so well cast (Jesse L. Martin, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanaugh and Melissa Benoist are so good), while Arrow - when it's on and it's really been on again in Season 5 - is outstanding.

Bingo. The premise of the show was always kinda iffy to begin with, since it's basically the origin story of every Batman character in existence told from an off-model perspective. Some of it works, some of it doesn't, but for what it's worth I enjoy it. The cast is stellar, and most of the performances have been top notch, so I can forgive the fact that it's a bizarre alt-universe Batman-before-Batman.
