I was reading around Wikipedia and saw something that stood out to me - I got to reading and found a list of about a dozen people who had something in common.
Of that group (which includes folks like Kane, Booker T, Hercules and Ron Simmons), MVP is the one who......holds a particular record, one might say even a dubious distinction, of sorts.
And I don't think I've ever seen it listed on a Rumble facts list anywhere either.
I'm off to a meeting for a bit but I thought I'd toss it out there (for Rumble talk and also comedy's sake) to see if anyone might know what that "record" is...

As that list all eliminated themselves in a Royal Rumble and MVP holds the record for quickest maybe?

Least amount of time in the ring while scoring an elimination right? In 2010 he ran back out after Miz attacked him earlier and then eliminated himself and Miz with a clothesline after like 10 seconds I believe.

He was in for 7 seconds, eliminated Miz (and himself, I guess). Second closest was Kendrick the year before, shoved Kofi out and then got tossed out by HHH. 15 seconds total. After having read that Hercules was in the '92 Rumble for about 56 seconds and eliminated the Barbarian right before he was eliminated himself, I started looking for people who were in under a minute & managed to score an elimination... - Hercules (1992) - Ron Simmons (1997, himself technically) - Chyna (1999 AND 2000) - Kane (1999) - Booker T (2002) - Rene Dupree (2004) - Mick Foley (2004) - Kurt Angle (2005, came in after he was eliminated and tossed HBK) - Jerry Lawler (2012, pulled Cole out a while after he'd been eliminated) As an addendum, Kane would also hold the record for being in the shortest amount of time with the MOST eliminations - 4 people in 1999, which he was in for only 53 seconds.

I thought Kendrick might have beaten this, but apparently he lasted a whole 15 seconds in 2009! In, eliminates Kofi Kingston, HHH'd.

I love random stats like this.
Hardcore Holly holds the record for the longest time in a single rumble without eliminating anybody (39 mins 35 seconds)

I love random stats like this. Hardcore Holly holds the record for the longest time in a single rumble without eliminating anybody (39 mins 35 seconds) Actually HHH from the same year (96) has it. He was in for close to 50 minutes but didn't eliminate anyone in his entire time in.

I was there live, being a huge Kendrick mark this really annoyed me, just months before he was the longest ever world champion in a scramble match ever!! But seriously as much as it's replayed, Santinos elimination didn't get as huge as a pop as just minutes before both Kendrick and Ziggler (doing his handshake to Kane) were both dumped out really quickly. So when it happened to Santino it wasn't OMG new record, it was more seriously can't any of these midcard heels last more then thirty seconds. 2009 was awful Rumble. The ring was full of most of the time, not a lot of rememberable spots. The winnner was telegraphed by a mile, even Triple H who's family was getting punted every week, really didn't pay much attention to Orton until the end. I guess RVD returning for one night was cool.

If you didn't see the link in the Obscure Wrestling Facts Post, click Here for all the facts you need about the Royal Rumble. It takes a long time to load, but it's worth it. Thanks.

Just watched the match to check, and I would agree that HHH should get the elimination. (Time is 1:19:49 on the network for anyone that wants to see)

2009 - winner was obvious, but they seemed to be really trying to up the excitement - there's always something going on, a reversal or a finisher or a near elimination, rings rarely static punching. Plus the main eventers show up randomly instead of last few numbers, and utter randomers have their A game like Carlito (when does that ever happen?). I rewatched it a few days ago, and actually really liked it.
It also benefits greatly from not having Matt Striker on commentary. That man has not aged well in 2010/11.
