Brady and Belichick in ANOTHER Super Bowl?
Oh joy.
This must have been what a Yankee fan was like in the old OLD days.

The next two weeks I have to hear about how great Bill Belichick and Tom Brady is even though they have one Super Bowl Championship in the last 12 years and a bunch of early playoff losses to teams they had no business losing to.

But yeah, they're not so great.

You know how bad people thought the Falcons were? There were more bets on the Browns winning the Super Bowl this year than the Falcons.

I have no strong feelings on either team, but one of my friends is a big pats fan, so I guess them, to delight her.

As a Colts fan, I can't root for the Patriots based on principal. I think it will be a really good game, but I have a feeling the Pats pull it out in the end. I am happy to see the Falcons there, as there are one of the few teams that was in the playoffs for the NFC I actually like, can't stand the Cowboys or Packers.
As far as Belichick/Brady's legacy, win or lose, they are going down in history as two of the best of all time.

I'll agree with you if you can list all those other Coach/QB tandems that actually ARE great.

#NotMySuperBowl is trending on twitter. Yes, it is a parody of other things going on in the world. Meanwhile, the Cheeseheads and Steeler Nation are leading 30 other teams to a march to Houston to protest the Patriots and Falcons' victories in their respective Conference Championship games, and hinted that Packers and Steelers may secede from the NFL if their demands aren't met (#Paxit, #Stexit). Of course, Raider Nation will try to instigate a riot during these protests. Finally, Steelers and Packers fans are staging a "Yellow Out" by changing their profile pictures to a golden yellow.

Honestly I don't even watch football but I'm still sick of the Patriots being in the Superbowl.

I'm torn.
I want the Falcons to win because I want something fresh, & I'm supposed to hate the Patriots.
However, the Falcons dissected my brother's favorite team, & I want to see Roger Goodell humiliated.

You know how bad people thought the Falcons were? There were more bets on the Browns winning the Super Bowl this year than the Falcons. I don't necessarily think that means people thought that the Browns were better than the Falcons or that the Browns had a better chance of winning the Super Bowl than the Falcons, it just goes to show that more people took the odds and bet on Cleveland. Before the season, the Browns were listed at 200-to-1 to win Super Bowl LI, while the Falcons were 40-to-1. On those odds alone, more are probably inclined to put money down on the long shot because it would yield the most significant payout. The next two weeks I have to hear about how great Bill Belichick and Tom Brady is even though they have one Super Bowl Championship in the last 12 years and a bunch of early playoff losses to teams they had no business losing to. 4 rings. 11 AFC title appearances and 7 Superbowl appearances in the last 15 years. But yeah, they're not so great. And what are these mysterious bunches of early playoff losses to teams they had no business losing to? The Patriots under Bill Belichick have been one-and-done twice in their 14 playoff appearances (2009 vs. Baltimore, 2010 vs. New York Jets). The 2009 team was a train wreck, as we learned a few years later when "A Football Life: Bill Belichick" aired, and the 2010 team was talented but filled with young promise that was still a year away, as we saw from the 2011 edition advancing to the Super Bowl. Other than that, they've advanced to the Super Bowl seven times and the AFC Championship Game 11 times. Honestly I don't even watch football but I'm still sick of the Patriots being in the Superbowl. It's understandable that people can be frustrated with the Patriots seemingly always advancing to the Super Bowl because they've been so constant about it over the past 16 seasons. Look at Tom Brady's career. He took over as a starter in 2001, 16 seasons ago, and the Patriots have advanced to the Super Bowl seven times. That's 43.75 percent of the time. The longest wait for Patriots fans to see their team play in the Super Bowl has been three seasons, from 2008 to 2010. If I were a fan of any other franchise, I'd probably say that we've seen enough, but considering I'm a Patriots fan and recognizing the muck and mire and failure that this team suffered through for basically its first 40 years of existence, I'm going to enjoy this ride for as long as possible.

I'm rooting for Atlanta, as I have my whole life, and actualy, their schedule has been much tougher than New England's. But I think New England wins. Youth on defense rears its head at worst time.
