If I was betting on this game I would go for the Pats, and I think they will win, but given the past 3 SBs, wouldn't be surprised if the Falcons pulled it out. Now I would be routeing for the Falcons, but I think this season the Pats just look to good to go against.

Alex Mack has a fracture in left leg, but he's gonna gut it out and play. If I were in his spot, I'd do the same thing. You never know if you're gonna make it back here so you've gotta try to hang on for as long as humanly possible.

Cheering for the Patriots because 1. I will not cheer for the team that beat my Packers to get there and 2. I have nothing but contempt for Roger Goodell so I want New England to win just to watch him hand the Lombardi over.
That said, if Ted Thompson finally does some smart things, Green Bay will be brining it back home next year.

For who I think will hoist the Lombardi Trophy, I'll take:
- New England 30, Atlanta 20: The Patriots defense may be atop the league in points allowed but outside of a quarter of the AFC Championship Game, before Le'Veon Bell was injured, they've yet to face a fully-loaded offense. That comes tonight, with a Falcons offense that boasts weapons just about everywhere you look. Atlanta has had a tougher road to the Super Bowl than the Patriots, having to defeat the Seahawks and Packers, but at the same time, I believe as untested as New England's defense is, they will be the best opposition that Atlanta has faced in a while. I think this game comes down to a battle of red zone possessions. The team that can get into the end zone versus having to settle for field goal attempts should be able to come away with the win and I believe the Patriots can do that. They have a more balanced offense, with power running, speed running, short and intermediate passing routes, and receivers who can go deep. I expect a very good game but I think New England's overall balance on both sides of the ball should ultimately have them prevailing and winning the fifth Super Bowl in franchise history.

Warning I'm not the greatest at typing out my thoughts, so these will be all over the place. Sorry
Now I don't usually make predictions but what the hell. I'm Patriots fan, so my pick is the Patriots and it'll be a fairly close game around 10 points.
This most definitely is the best all round offense the Pats have seen, but I trust this defense to setup and have a great gameplan. As for Brady and the o, Atlanta has a fast defense, but they're very young, which hurts them imo. Brady can fluster defensive.
Also Dan Quinn talking about how they'd be ready before even getting to Houston, Freeman saying we can do what we want on offense, plus Shanahan talking and being very overconfident imo in how the Pats will have to deal with Jones were signs to me, not bad signs to me, but just felt weird signs of being very cocky.
With all that said, if the Falcons win. I don't have problem. They're a great team, with class players and aren't hate able.

Too bad FOX usually isn't as good as CBS when it comes to the intro to the game....

Does anyone here actually watch the 6 hours of pregame shows? Talk about overkill. I have a hard time dealing with the pregame idiots for even a half-hour.

Whenever a Super Bowl is predicted to be a high scoring shootout it usually turns out to be lower than expected. I think it'll come down to the last few possessions but the Patriots will prevail 27-24.
That being said, time for Josie:
GO PATS!!!!!

I feel like people have been sleeping on Atl all season. Here's hoping they pull it off.

I feel like people have been sleeping on Atl all season. Here's hoping they pull it off. Well, good luck having a great running game with your center playing with a fractured tibia. Also as far as sleeping on Atlanta goes, I think there was very good reason to sleep on them considering their playoff history of choking.

So yeah, Alex Mack will play tonight with a fractured fibula. For Atlanta's sake, I hope Dan Quinn has an itchy trigger finger ready to pull Mack quickly if it's not working out. Doesn't matter whatever schlub is the backup C, if he's got 2 healthy legs, he's in, because the Super Bowl is too important, and you can't let the game get away from you early. (Either that, or they'll test out Mack before the game and see he can't be effective, and he won't even start. )

What's the single most important thing the Falcons have to do to beat the Patriots?

What's the single most important thing the Falcons have to do to beat the Patriots? They need to get Brady off the field as quickly as possible when the Patriots are on offense. Hard for that high powered offense of Atlanta to do much when they have to sit on the sidelines and watch the clock get eaten.
