As a Patriot fan I must admit that when the score was 21-0 I didn't see them coming back. I felt Atlanta was too young, athletic, strong, and quick with their defense and offense. Then I started seeing status updates about Brady leading the Patriots back into the game and after I saw that they won I literally screamed "Hell yes!!!" while on the treadmill at the gym. So happy that Brady is the first quarterback to win five Super Bowls. Does he retire after this? What else is there for him to do? How does one actually top something like this? This is too damn perfect a scenario for Brady. He got his revenge on Goodell. The biggest SB comeback ever. Most completions and passing yards. The Drive For Five. Seriously, you can't top that. It's too perfect.

Great game
Only complaint is I would have given MVP to James White instead of Brady. People expected Brady to play great. White would have literally been 5th on the list to score 3 TDs from RB behind Freeman, Coleman, Blount and Lewis.
Huge differance making performance tonight

What else is there for him to do? How does one actually top something like this? Attempt to gain a measure of revenge on Eli Manning? He's gotta get his win back.

Attempt to gain a measure of revenge on Eli Manning? He's gotta get his win back. That would require the Giants to make it to the Super Bowl with them and to be fair, that's not too far outside the realm of possibility in the near future.

Serves him right for the hell we had to endure watching his WCW tenure. Now someone get me some lemon and salt while the wound is still fresh. It's time for payback for Oklahoma.

On twitter, I did a lot of joking around, but here is the real me speaking to you.
You know, I watched this game and even I was convinced Atlanta was winning this game. Despite all my talk that they had no much of a chance, I will admit I was wrong in that and I apologize. What I am going to do now because of what happened is something I wish was kinda done with me when my Panthers lost (and when San Jose Sharks blew a 3-0 lead to the Kings), but I think you Falcons fans deserve this more.......
I am here to offer a hug because you should not have had to deal with this. You should be celebrating after a Super Bowl win and to see it be snatched away from you like that (with several bone-headed decisions by a team you put your faith in), I have my arms stretched to give you the hug because that is truly the right thing to do.
EDIT: I will not give a hug to Arthur Blank though. Everyone else deserves a hug.

I wanna see someone stroll into New York and call Tom Brady the greatest ever when Doofy Eli Manning has beaten his ass twice on the grandest stage. He aint perfect.

I'm gonna be the guy everyone rags on. You can't compare eras. GOAT doesn't work in Football bc the game itself is played so differently.
Now if you were to try and go by decade, it is a good metric to go on and you can easily claim Brady perhaps not just this but maybe even the last decade.
A lot of QBs prior to 2004 didn't have the advantages that modern QBs have now. The game is played so much differently. Its like the argument over whether old teams can beat new teams. There is almost no way to know, simply because the game is different with each generation. If Tom Brady was born 50 years earlier and was drafted in 1951, he may never have seen the success he had.
But I'll take the heat. I just see the game as different. Whose to say Montana couldn't have done the things Brady did if he played in this era instead? But who is to say Brady would not have had the success Montana had if he played in the 80s?

Ok people here is the biggest stat in this game, and it truly tells the story.
Time of possession for Atlanta 23:27
Time of possession for New England 40:31
The Falcon's D was just straight up gassed at the end of the game, that TOP is just ugly now matter how many points you have.

I think the turning point was the sack on Ryan in the fourth that took the Falcons out of field-goal range when they were still up 8.
It would have once again made it a two-score game and slowed down all the NE momentum.
I'm a Bills fan and I hate the Pats, but hats off to Tom Brady. That was one of the greatest performances I've ever seen.
Kudos to the Pats and their fans and commiserations to Falcons fans.

Man, I swear this team is going to send me to an early grave. (Well that and my all McDonald's diet) I admit, like everyone else I assumed it was over at halftime. Even when they pulled within 16 I was like "Oh now you're gonna make it close?" When they pulled within 8 I was like "Holy crap, we have a chance!" And when Edelman made that catch I was like "HOLY CRAP, WE'RE GONNA WIN THIS THING!!" And right now, I'm still afraid that I'll wake up and find out it was all a dream. And what can I say about Tom Brady that hasn't been said already by everyone else. When you think about all stuff he had to put up with this year, from that bull***t suspension to his mother's illness it's pretty amazing to see what he's pulled off this year even for someone who makes the amazing seem routine. He's simply the greatest athlete I've ever seen in my life. As happy as I am right now, I do genuinely feel sorry for the Atlanta Falcons, thier players, coaches and fans. They were a great team this year and would have been deserving champions. I've been through some heartbreaking losses myself so I know that there's not much I can say that will take this pain away. I hope Atlanta fans don't give up on them. They have a great young team and I'd like to see them break through. I know I've mentioned this a few times in the past, but we Patriots fans are truly blessed. I remember growing up when we were the Cleveland Browns/Jacksonville Jaguars of the 80's and early 90's. I remember not being able to watch Patriots home games on TV because they would be blacked out. I remember my schoolmates telling me to root for the Giants instead because the Pats would never win. And I remember the fear that the Patriots would move to St. Louis just as they started to show some promise. Now the Patriots stand with all the other premier franchises in all of sports. I'd never would have dreamed that this would have ever been possible. Back then I would have been happy just to see them win a championship. Now I want a 6th.
