(Yeah, apparently the show began in '98 ) This show was f***ing hilarious. Loved it, and they were really good at the actual game talk and reviews to boot. (P.S., Morgan Webb is pretty.)

I agree about Morgan Webb, but I had more of a crush on Ronilyn Reilly (She was on that news show) and Amanda McKay, who were also on G4. Then again, G4 had a lot of hot women.

I was never much of a gamer but I thought the show was entertaining. Still follow both of them on twitter. Adam is pretty active.

I liked the show and liked the skits and comedy. Eventually I tuned out the reviews because of the bias toward online play. So I give it 3 Stars out of 5.

I always liked Morgan well enough, but Sessler was really grating to me on this show, like a bad nerd caricature. After X-Play ended and he started up with Rev3 I found I enjoyed Sessler a lot more, so I'm guessing it was just the scripting on X-Play that made him seem so lame.

Loved it. Then they changed hosts and I kinda fell out of Gaming, so meh, but it was really cool for a while.
Also, Holy shit, Morgan Webb. God damn.

X play was on in 98??? Wow. That brief time in g4s golden age was fun. Xplay and attack of the show. Web soup and code monkeys. It was a fun couple of years and im not even a gamer.

I watched Sessler since it was Gamespot TV, then Extended Play, then X-Play.
I enjoyed the show a lot, but I get that by the end, they seemed cramped under the format.

Man, such a love/hate relationship with this. '98 and '99, it was about games. Then, skits. Sketches. Bits. So many of the comedy interludes were just .... why?

I started watching with Extended Play when it was Sessler and...Kate? I remember being wowed at seeing a video game show on tv again after so many years of that stuff kinda going away. Then it became X-Play, and it was one of the few shows after the G4 merger that was still watchable. Humor was hit or miss, but I'm glad it had a long tenure. My favorite bit was Meet The Sess. I consider X-Play an influence to the way I write Monster Crap, with random people showing up for a great joke.

The main reason I beat Dead Rising was the X-Play special.
Also remember the Mario 1-1 challenge the later version did with guests? Thomas Jane just did not have a shit to give.

I liked the show to a point. Until the whole Too Human thing.
If you don't remember X-Play gave the game an incredible amount of coverage in the lead up to its release. And when the game came out to be critically panned by pretty much everyone. X-Play gave the game to sometimes fill in host Blair Herter to review and have he gave it a postive review whiling telling us to just give it a chance. And then they used it in a best of package at the end of the year.
It was obvious there was some sort of sponsorship deal going here.

I suck at video games, but that show was great.
Loved Morgan, but I was also a big Tina Wood fan.

WTH in my research Grace Helbig was AotS!? Wha... Apparently, she was on during the dying days of AotS (which I don't remember since I couldn't get G4 at home). As for AotS, Kevin Pereira has essentially created the spiritual sequel to it known as The Attack! on Twitch. It has a decent following on there, and a few of the former co-hosts have been on a few times.
