I will forever be confused as to why the dude blocked me. It's truly the greatest mystery in the history of my social media. At least you're in good company... ...or you were ...even Bruce chimed in

If you've watched Al Snow's shoot interview, it sounds like Ole and Gene used to just beat the piss out of people. I'm not some bad ass nor do I pretend to be, but I did do a bit of boxing and wrestling growing up and can handle myself if the need arises. If those 2 pulled half of the crap that Al Snow says they did, I don't care how much I wanted to be in dis bizness, they'd walk away with some chipped teeth or a broken jaw. There is training someone and then there is just beating the hell out of someone to prove that you are a tough guy and you know they won't fight back like you were in a real fight. The problem is that they first tired the trainees for like an hour and a half then they stretched the guys. They did that because they were cowards. According to Ric Flair though, in Florida, Bob Roop tried to pull that shit on Dick Slater. Well Slater left him in a pool of his own blood. Yeah, Flair said someone smartened Slater up and told him he could fight back. That is what makes Roop and people like him look like even bigger cowards and bastards, most of the people they stretched had no idea they could hit back. Also, for those asking what show glorified Roop stretching out some random guy, it was "Legends of Wrestling" from the WWE Network showing a clip from Florida. Flair did say some people would watch when guys like Roop and Ole would stretch new guys, but he couldn't watch it, except for the time Slater kicked Roop's ass.

"I'll defend it. F**k it!" This cussing dry humor version of Tony Schiavone is his best version ever. Haha.

Line of the podcast: "I use f*** like a comma." He stole that from Lewis Black talking about New Yorkers!

Can't wait to listen to this one today. Especially to hear his take on the Luger coup.

I had no idea that the reason Ted Turner started Nitro was because he was so mad at Vince for the Billionaire Ted skits that wouldn't air till the following year.

I'm halfway through this week's show and 2 straight weeks of shows that Tony wasn't working and has nothing to add may not have been the right choices to start a podcast.

Ya, as much as I think we all want this to be the true WCW equivalent of STWW, Tony just was nowhere near as hands on the running of WCW as Bruce was with the WWF. Tony has some good stories to tell for sure, but he has nor he wealth of information nor the storytelling talents of Bruce.

Tony just talking about and ripping on these events would be much more entertaining than expecting him to do them up Something To Wrestle With... style. The dude just wasn't in the same position as Bruce. He is still funny and was there,so there is definitely an entertaining podcast to be had, just not sure this is quite the right formula. Dude literally had nothing to do with the first Nitro.

I'm glad we finally got a real first hand account of the Orndorff / Vader incident on this show. It wasn't too far off from the other stories but they've all been a little different. Always heard about his head getting kicked like a football but he was really stomping his head in. I'd never heard about Kevin Sullivan telling the people restraining Orndorff to let him go because Vader would cheapshot him if he was being held either.

I haven't finished "The First Nitro" Episode, but it doesn't seem like it'll stray too much from the format. Conrad reads excerpts from Wrestling Observor, asks if Melzer had it right and Schiavone says he doesn't recall. Just use the topic as the source for tangents rather than go into specifics that Tony doesn't have because he didn't freakin' work these past two shows.

Line of the show for me: "Might get to do butt stuff brother!" Haha. Same here, and I can't help but hear it in Hulk's voice, which kills me every time I think about it. As for the show itself, i'd love to hear Tony talk about working with Tenay and Heenan. Or maybe things from his perspective on the final Nitro to go along with the Something to Wrestle episode.

I enjoyed this week's show (always do) but yeah Conrad needs to double check with Tony before putting some options on the poll.
"Were you at Souled Out '97?" "Nope." "Were you at the first Nitro?" "Nope."
See? It's easy.
But at least we got Conrad's conspiracy theory. Side bitch, butt stuff, etc. LOL!

Tony has some good stories to tell for sure, but he has nor he wealth of information nor the storytelling talents of Bruce. Yeah Tony is definitely not the equivalent of Bruce, but it's pretty much impossible to find that person. I mean you could get Sullivan or Bischoff, but I don't feel like either of them are 100% accurate, just because WCW fell and when you try to pinpoint shortcomings they will always deflect that elsewhere. At least with Bischoff, he will admit mistakes, but I still don't think he takes as much blame as he probably should like the clusterf*** of Starrcade '97, Halloween Havoc '98 or the fingerpoke of doom. Pritchard on the other hand was in a very successful period of WWE, and even not so successful periods, but at the end of the day, the booking comes down to Vince. So really Pritchard doesn't have to protect himself as much and can speak on the politics and incidents on the inner workings of the business. It does seem like Tony was involved with production meetings, although not to extent of Bruce and unlike the bookers doesn't sugarcoat things or try to make bad ideas sound like they were the best way possible. So in reality he's a great choice, as he has nothing to lose and can tell it like it is.
