I guess we know who is waiting for Drew to hit the free agent market. Well a new pirates movie is coming out soon. Are you confusing him with Paul Burchill?

I would be a little bit concerned about an official WWE Twitter actually tagging Drew in this post here. Hopefully this is a terrific sign. I'm dying to see Drew back in WWE (hopefully they sign him before WM).

I'm so glad that Dixie is finally phased out and ousted from the company, only for Jarrett to slide right back into a major backstage roll again. Like all the years, hundreds of millions of wasted dollars, and f***ing over of their talent was a zero sum game that led right back to where we began.

Drew Galloway, Impact Grand Champion, is working without a contract? That doesn't seem like a great idea. But it does sound exactly like something TNA would do. It sounds like something WCW (did) do. TNA will do that and muck it up even more, I gather...

Don't know if the news is big enough for its own thread, but TNA now has a working relationship with Pro Wrestling Noah. I think the term is "suicide pact".

They're both owned by multinational conglomerates that seem like they're using the companies as feeders to their bigger projects and not allow said organisations to grow beyond their standing now.
How is this NOT a perfect deal?

Galloway looks like he's set to be the face of Spike/5*/Dominant wrestling in the UK so I doubt he's going if the WWE come calling, given how they treated him last time and have handled their other returning names. If the money is anything like decent he'll keep on doing indies, 5* with a side gig in TNA.
Having said that, Jarrett will probably lowball him or try and control where he works.

I believe Drew has said he would go back and he would have more respect on his name upon returning because of the hard work he's put in since he's left. Right now he is the blueprint as far as guys leaving WWE and making everything they do a success. Cody is starting to right his wrongs after a meh start.

Dixie Carter is now free to pursue her dream of being a feature actress on Blacked.com. So there will be wrestling porn parody of TNA staring Dixxx E Carter & Mandingo? Yeah I could see her doing that since nobody in the television world wants her.

Most of the returning guys signed on knowing what there push was going to be so I wouldn't expect drew to sign with out knowing his deal.

Live Audio Wrestling (another Anthem owned operation that are still just as critical of TNA) are reporting that Scott D'Amore is back in his previous role with TNA. fightnetwork.com/law/scott-damore-returning-to-tna/Say what you please with "look at the new guy, same as the old guy" but between getting Dutch, Jarrett (in a non-wrestling role) and D'Amore on board, there does seem to be a dedicated energy to renew this brand. I'm skeptical if the future lies in the past, in this case, but having these three going off relatively free deserves at least half-a-chance.

Less about renewing the brand and more returning back the more accepted, previous status quo. There are people who consider their stint a golden era especially with those that followed it. There aren't going to set the wrestling world on fire. Just to patch up holes to keep USS IMPACT afloat.

I guess we should count our damn blessings that Russo and Jarret fell out years ago and that he probably won't be brought back into the fold next.

That, and given one of the places he has done a lot of work, EVOLVE, is in a working relationship with WWE, along with WWE's UK expansion, he doesn't need to be a weather man to tell which way the wind is blowing. I'm sure both parties could work something out they'd both be down with. Kudos to him for making it work, even if his TNA run, in my opinion, has been forgettable as all f***. His indie stuff has been good, and he overcame the challenge that Ryback is going to be tested by in time, where he'll have to see if he can do it, too: life without WWE's promotion and the doors is opens for you. You leave with residual heat and profile, but the embers die down with time and you have to be good or smart after that, because you're on your own.

Drew's TNA stuff has been hit or miss, but his heel work in both EVOLVE and ICW (especially ICW) has been amazing. Drew really changed his image as a wrestler. I think in terms of talent relations and promoting Jarrett and D'Amore are good pick ups, but in terms of creative them and Dutch aren't the greatest. I think they'll make the show more even in terms of story telling, but I also think they tend to do a lot of yo-yo booking too.
