I assumed Rikishi had run over Steve Austin perhaps for money or some other personal gain. Turns out he did it for The Rock.

I thought there was no way WWE would have Triple H win the Royal Rumble and WWE Championship in 2016

I never thought Mae young would give birth to a hand. I never thought dx could be in black face in the 90s and be the faces. Never thought vince was the higher power. Never thought jake the Snake would be sober in 2017.

I never thought I would still be watching wrestling some 30 years after I started.

I'm pretty sure everyone is wrong all the time, but I'll try to think of some recent concrete examples.
- Of course I thought Lesnar was going to fall to the Streak at Wrestlemania 30. - I thought Sting was going to get a 1 on 1 with the Undertaker (holla holla) before his retirement. - I didn't think Kane was going to take his mask off again post Slammy Awards 2011. Sadly, I was wrong. - I thought Alex Riley was going places during his feud with the Miz. - I was sure Wade Barrett was a future WWE World champion. (Again, sadly wrong) - I thought Angle and Balor, or at least one of the two, would be in the Royal Rumble. - I thought Strowman was going to fail hard when he was still a Wyatt member. Thankfully, he's doing well on his own. - As with Barrett, I was sure Cesaro was going to become a World Champion, likely in 2014, when he won the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.
All I can think of right now.

I thought Kurt Angle would suck. I thought AJ Styles would flounder in the midcard, due to lack of personality. I thought the WeeLC match would suck. I thought Vickie Guerrero would be the drizzling shits. I thought Mark Henry would always suck. I was certain that Lesnar would beat Cena at Extreme Rules. And on multiple occasions, I thought that Terry Funk actually lost an eye.

Things I was sure of.
Rock heel turn at WM17..figured he was getting his win back, and that was only way...
Foley heel turn at WM20..figured this was why Foley Orton wasnt a one on one
Cena Rock WM28..figured Cena

I never thought Mick Foley would ever be the focal point of one of the worst reality TV shows to ever be produced.

In early 1999, Buff and Big Poppa Pump were going to be WCW's answer to DX.

I never thought Mark Henry would be as successful as he has been.
I thought Wade Barrett, Alex Riley, and Brodus Clay would all be main event staples in WWE for years to come.
I thought Jannetty and Michaels would have equally successful solo careers.
I never thought anyone would match Flair's record number of world titles.

I thought Wade Barrett was going to win the title from Orton leading into a huge Mania match with Cena.
Also thought Christian was going to win the title in the Triple Threat with Cena and Jericho and Captain Charisma would lead a new Smackdown renaissance.

I thought if beloved indy stars like AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor and Samoa Joe were ever given prominent spots on the main roster, the IWC/smarks would be relatively happy.

1)Thought Ambrose would be the one to break up the Shield 2) Ziggler would cash in at Mania 29 3) Brock would beat Goldberg at survivor series 4) Ambrose/Ziggler would be a great match

I never thought Mark Henry would be as successful as he has been. The HOP really did turn him into a legitimate badass pretty much overnight. One of the most effective angles to get someone over I've ever seen.

I never thought K Kwik could ever push his way in to the main event big leagues.
Enter a poor roster and R-Truth.

Women wrestling will never be relevant, wish they would stop stinking up the airwaves. They're just the bathroom break match.
Boy was I wrong. God bless the new crop of talent and Sara Del Rey training them in the developmental centre.

Pretty sure a lot of people thought Ambrose would be the one to break The Shield up...
