"Wow, CM Punk has taken over the Nexus! And he's running it like a cult, demanding loyalty of its members! With Wade Barrett setting up The Corre based on the members having equal footing, maybe he'll lure some of them away once Punk pushes them too hard, and the factions will collide. Oh, what's that? Orton's punted all of the members down to FCW while Punk's cutting pipebombs on Cena? And The Corre is just being used put the human scoop slam machine over? Ok, I guess that's cool too..." And that's not even getting into the final days of The Nexus being McGillicutty and Otunga coming out to generic music wearing Nexus armbands and hats (no shirts because all Punk imagery was dropped after MITB) before dropping The Nexus alltogether.

Speaking of McGillicutty, does the Genesis count as a dropped storyline?

I did they they became a good team at this point. Had a great Hart Attack.

A thread about the Rosebuds popped up on here and it made me think of brass rings. Perhaps even a club devoted to one of them. Disregarding how bizarre this is in retrospect when AJ, Gallows, and Anderson are all in the company now, I think we should all take some time to remember the storylines of this decade that just never wanted to exist and were buried like Nexus buried The Undertaker. I think that was dropped because NJPW went hard on sending out C&D letters to anyone with Bullet Club style shirts. And they were pretty blatant doing one with the Brass Ring Club shirts. Those shirts weren't an official thing, they were something found on Redbubble. Also, what's funny is that those shirts never made it past the pre-show and never showed up again afterwards. I'd like to think that Vince saw them walking by and just went "uhh, what"

It seemed like a lot of romance storylines got abruptly dropped during that period. Ziggler and Maria, Swagger and Eve Torres, Drew McIntyre and Kelleh Kelleh. Ziggler and Maria at least did have a conclusion with Ziggler dumping her but it was still abrupt and out of nowhere, as in they had no idea where they were going with it so they just decided to drop it.

Alberto del Rio a few times was teased as trying to seduce Rosa Mendes. This reminds me, I'm still wondering on the romantic status of Cody Rhodes and Kaitlyn.

A very recent one was Super Serious Bo.

Remember Michael Tarver post Nexus appearing backstage and watching matches on tv? I still want to know what the deal with that angle was.

Did Brock/Wyatt get an ending in February? Or did it just end without them ever facing each other?

Did Brock/Wyatt get an ending in February? Or did it just end without them ever facing each other? i don't think so. I don't know if Wyatt got injured or Ambrose/Brock took off and they went with that instead. I vaugely remember Heyman saying that they'd take care of the Wyatts after Fastlane/mania. (Ambrose/Reigns/Brock main evented for the main title match) But it seemed that Ambrose/Lesnar would make for more compelling television.

Not sure if this was an angle.
But Curtis Axel was on NXT one week a couple of years ago with the commentator saying he was back in hoping to rediscover lost form. The Axelmania thing began shortly after that and the whole NXT thing ended.

For exactly two weeks in 2011, post unmasking as Sin Cara Negro, Hunico, Epico, and Primo were a trio, and I remember that they had a really smooth ass triple team. (Codebreaker, then a Backstabber, then a Senton)

The Bray/Roman team that is basically the only time Roman has been interesting in the last couple years was thrown away/never referenced again when Bray got hurt

Ranjin Singh randomly calling Great Khali stupid, and saying he was scared of Nexus, then appearing with him again soon after with no mention of it.

I feel like angles that saw any sort of conclusion whatsoever, much less a satisfying one, would be a FAR shorter list.
