Did WWE completely abandon Renee Young's involvement with the Miz/Ambrose feud? She slapped Miz, then Maryse slapped her. You would figure she would do a ringside run in during the match where Dean won the IC title. A spot where she would stop Maryse from interfering was expected or some sort of physical altercation. But instead Renee was abruptly dropped from the angle.

Ranjin Singh randomly calling Great Khali stupid, and saying he was scared of Nexus, then appearing with him again soon after with no mention of it. The biggest reminder here is that Ranjin Singh was a thing that existed.

Kaitlyn turning heel and joining the Divas of Doom.
It got dropped in between SmackDown being taped and SmackDown being aired so it technically didn't happen.
That and when Chavo's face turn in 2009. Chavo turned face by saving Hornswoggle from Chris Masters. This got dropped when two weeks later, Chris Masters turned face by saving Hornswoggle from Chavo.

That one irks me so much! The match was so easy to book!!! Just have Lesnar vs. Bray in a No DQ match with tons of Wyatt interference and Lesnar battling through them. Then have him finally finish off Bray. Or f*** it have Bray win. As long as it's Lesnar being pushed to his limits battling the full Wyatt clan the result isn't THAT important. Instead we got Lesnar taking on Harper and I think (can't remember offhand) and Bray in a handicap match where Lesnar plows through Harper and no appearances from the other Wyatts. It was so unsatisfying and just made Wyatt (who was in a slump at the time) look even worse.

The New Day coming out is suits, with Woods telling Big E and Kofi "We take." Certain real world events around that time were to blame.

I like her and all but it's pretty much the same thing almost. She doesn't emasculate Miz's opponents verbally but still for months she's been slapping people with nobody doing anything about it. The Renee Young thing was a perfect opportunity for someone to give her comepupance as it would avoid the guy hitting a girl problem, but they just didn't it and she got out unscathed.

"Wow, CM Punk has taken over the Nexus! And he's running it like a cult, demanding loyalty of its members! With Wade Barrett setting up The Corre based on the members having equal footing, maybe he'll lure some of them away once Punk pushes them too hard, and the factions will collide. Oh, what's that? Orton's punted all of the members down to FCW while Punk's cutting pipebombs on Cena? And The Corre is just being used put the human scoop slam machine over? Ok, I guess that's cool too..." The Corre and Punk's Nexus will clash at the dual-branded Royal Rumble? Oh never mind, no two members of each team was ever in the match at the same time.

After slapping Miz, Renee apologized on Talking Smack and vowed not to step out of line again. It was ridiculous that she never returned Maryse's slap but the payoff consisted of her boyfriend beating Miz for the title so i guess that was something.

If someone could walk me through the Kelly Kelly/Kane/Randy Orton love triangle, I'd be grateful. I don't recall a conclusion.

in a long list of crap that didn't happen to Wade Barrett: the Intercontinental Cup, a tournament to name a numbe one contender.
Which reminds me that Christian's last ever match was becoming number one contender for the IC title... and getting one concussion too many.

Well, it technically happened in 2008 (why I know this but forget to take out trash, I don't know). I believe the end result was that Randy and Kelly spent the night together, and Kelly was blaming others to protect Orton from Kane because he had a crush on her. But Orton didn't care.

That reminds me: That was quickly dropped. It just went to Epico and Primo being a tag team with Rosa as their manager. Hunico just had a tag team partner in Camacho.

I think that was dropped because NJPW went hard on sending out C&D letters to anyone with Bullet Club style shirts. And they were pretty blatant doing one with the Brass Ring Club shirts. Those shirts weren't an official thing, they were something found on Redbubble. Also, what's funny is that those shirts never made it past the pre-show and never showed up again afterwards. I'd like to think that Vince saw them walking by and just went "uhh, what" "Bullet Club knockoff shirts are lame as f***. Get that shit off and get out of my sight!"

They tease the two groups fighting at the Rumble and didn't have them face off. Who thought that was a good idea? Also, there were two members from each team in the match at the same time: CM Punk and Justin Gabriel. Gabriel was in the ring for 58 seconds before being eliminated by Daniel Bryan. All that build to a 58 second encounter.

Remember Michael Tarver post Nexus appearing backstage and watching matches on tv? I still want to know what the deal with that angle was. Excellent question, Shelton.

I've seen a few Wade Barrett mention and I'd raise you kind of Wade Barret's career altogether. Bigger picture and The Corre aside, you had had his weeks of warrior poet fight club vignettes, then him being "open for business" in a way that implied some kind of mercenary thing that was never brought up again, Bad News Barrett being sank by creative, The Cosmic Wasteland looking like an alliance that was going to continue only to not... And that's not counting all the things he'd done that had a resolution but, weirdly, no beginning to explain shit.

Remember when Jinder Mahal blackmailed The Great Khali into being his Bodyguard because Mahal was apparently married to Khali's Sister and would divorce her and send her and Khali back to the poor slums if he did any different and it was built up as this big emotional dilemma?
That lasted about a week.
