RAW is live from Las Vegas tonight, and with seven weeks to go until WrestleMania 33, and three weeks to go until Fastlane, there's a lot to sort through, including the RAW Women's Title on the line tonight.
Whenever Charlotte Flair defends the RAW Women's Championship on RAW, more often than not, she loses the title. Three times against Sasha Banks, the title left Charlotte's grip on Monday nights. Fortunately for her, it's not Sasha Banks she defends it against tonight, as this time she's up against Bayley. The Hugger earned the shot two weeks ago by pinning Flair in a six person tag team match, although her momentum was stunted last week when Flair intervened, leading to her being defeated by Nia Jax. Will Monday Night prove to be the jinx for Charlotte again, or will Bayley falter in the big match once more? And in unrelated news, for the second time in the past few months, RAW are promoting the emergence of Emmalina. Just saying...
Tonight will feature the first ever FESTIVAL OF FRIENDSHIP, the biggest such Festival in WWE History! Universal Champion Kevin Owens and United States Champion Chris Jericho will show just how good friends they are... partly as a bid to cover up Jericho throwing Owens into a title match with Goldberg at Fastlane... nah, can't be that... because THEY'RE THE BESTEST BUDS EVAAAAAA! One person who will likely take exception to this is Sami Zayn, given that Owens helped Jericho retain the US Title against him last week. But will Friendship prevail? It is magic after all...
Braun Strowman is on another rampage - after being put in a four on one handicap match last week, GM Mick Foley granted him a match with Roman Reigns at Fastlane, and Strowman responded by costing Reigns his match with the debuting Samoa Joe. That was in response to Reigns costing Strowman his title match with Kevin Owens, which was in response to Strowman costing Reigns HIS title match with Owens. You'd think it's Reigns' turn to get revenge on Strowman... and what's next for Samoa Joe, after getting rid of Seth Rollins, and defeating Reigns last week?
Enzo and Big Cass got involved in last week's RAW Tag Team Championship match between champions Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows and challengers Cesaro and Sheamus, resulting in a DQ win for the champs. The Certified G's now feel they're ready for a challenge at the Tag Titles, but you'd think Cesaro and Sheamus would be angry that Enzo and Cass got involved in their business. Which team will have the upper hand after tonight?
With Rich Swann out of action due to injury, Neville now has to contend with Jack Gallagher for his Cruiserweight Title at Fastlane. The Extraordinary Gentleman came out of an elimination Fatal Five Way on 205 Live, last eliminating TJ Perkins to get the title shot. Neville thinks his fellow Englishman is a disgrace to the country, and plans to put him in his place, but that Gallagher is a smart cookie, so will we see him outwit "The King of the Cruiserweights" tonight?
All this, plus lots of the usual fun... AND WILL EMMALINA ACTUALLY SHOW UP THIS TIME??? - tonight from 8/7c on USA!
