Every Network original show seems to last the equivalent of 1 season and then it's gone to never return. I just don't understand the thinking behind this. If they want more subscribers they are going to have to continue to do original shows not stop doing them altogether. You can get people to watch shows with wrestlers that are different but they are churning out a ton of wrestling content right now, not sure how much more of that they can sustain.
Here's what gets me about it, apparently the 2 reality shows Legends House and Holey Foley do pretty good ratings but they are nixed for other seasons because they are expensive. Stone Cold gets nixed because he doesn't toe the line, they get rid of JBL's show even though it's one of the best shows they have because apparently no one cares about interview shows or wrestling history.
But on top of that shouldn't they be doing a bunch of new Wrestlemania rewinds this time of year? They can use the cost excuse all they want but with all of the footage they have and access to people they have, they can easily make cheap shows that would entertain people.
It seems to me like they have gotten really lazy just deciding they have no desire to do more than about 10 of any show and turning the network into a glorified ppv service with back content.

Yeah it's a horrible way of doing things but 98.7% of the original shows I have no time for.All I care about is the E & C show,The Renee show and Legends.

Then there's the pointless interference. WWE Countdown as a solid, mostly funny and self-aware talking heads top-10 deal before someone in PR got involved and scripted the 2nd season with a "who's who of who is that?"
This is before they replaced with the WWE list, with added Z-list (I think Sam Roberts is the only plus of bringing in outside talents) celebs on top of the heavy corporate spin, before condemning the whole thing to the netherrealm.

I know the animated stuff has run into issues because of wrestlers leaving/passing/etc. Camp WWE had some changing around to do, Slam City didn't continue despite some other character designs shown for it....
I'm hoping they continue Story Time, though. And where's my Season 2 of E&C???

JBL's show was one of my favorite things on the network. I liked hearing the older guys talk about what the business was like from before I started watching.

Did they stop table for 3 as well?

It sucks because I like the original shows way more than the Network exclusive stuff like 205 Live and the tournaments. Talking Smack is amazing, but give me Swerved or Table for 3.

Wrestlemania Rewind, Legends With JBL, and Legends House are the shows they should've continued making!

Count me in as another for Mania Rewind.
I've actually had a few ideas for original programs they could make that would be dirt cheap and probably draw some eyes.
"The History of..." make it a different topic every week or every two weeks and just have a 30-60 minute documentary about certain topics to help new fans.
A revamp of This Week in WWE to make it more of a SportsCenter type show. f*** it, blatantly ape some SportsCenter stuff. I'd love to see Mauro and Graves compare notes on Top Five Submission Experts, et al.
WWE Grab Bag, another show designed to help new fans or even to satiate fans who don't want to watch a full PPV. Just take an hour a week and show matches that were either significant to history, lost classics, or just cool.
"This Week in WWE History," a clip show that talks about stuff that happened during that particular week throughout wrestling history.

Legends House was something they made years before the Network and no one bought it. Not just for cost reason's but trying to cast 6-8 ex wrestlers for 2-3 weeks might be a headache.

I wonder if it all has to go through Vince, or if whoever is in charge of handling the network's original content is just really bad at their job or something, but yeah it's a damn shame when they just cut all the good things and can't give us more of it. It seems to me like they have gotten really lazy just deciding they have no desire to do more than about 10 of any show and turning the network into a glorified ppv service with back content. But that's the thing; it's actually easier to just keep making new seasons of the same shows over and over than to go and brainstorm, develop, pre-produce, get all the graphics and production shit done, for a new show. The talking heads shows are super low-cost productions, and for things like Breaking Ground they don't need to worry about release forms or filming permits because it's their employees and property. To constantly come up with new shows is considerably more work.

Not only do they need more Mania rewinds, they used to do random ppvs during the day and show marathons of whatever ppv is happening on Sunday before the show. Now they just run last year's a couple of times and re-runs of nxt, 205, etc.

To constantly come up with new shows is considerably more work. Breaking Ground is the perfect show for them. Not only is it a cheap production, but it gives them more chances at playing around with wrestling-specific camera work and editing (even though they're already great at it) and gives their talent built-in audiences. There's no reason to not run the shit out of it. But, they seem to not care about the original content of the Network. I think their numbers after WM this year might get a little slide.

WrestleMania Rewind kills me. There are so many matches left to highlight, and as long as WrestleMania remains a thing, there'll probably always be at least one new one a year to do later on down the line. Same with Rivalries - so many left on the table that they could cover.

Still waiting for episode two of "Bring It To The Table" with Peter Rosenberg.
Edit: Just heard on this week's episode of the "Cheap Heat" podcast that Rosenberg just shot episode two of "Bring It To The Table" with JBL.

I think they're doing it next Monday after Raw because before NXT this week, I saw a commercial for it.
