I'm halfway through the series, and I love it. The meta humor is off the charts. And Alec Baldwin's character is on par with Michael Scott and Ron Swanson.
Which leads to my pondering, that 30 Rock seems to have been lost in the shuffle amid The Office, Parks and Rec, and even the cult following of Community.
Any other fans of 30 Rock here?

I've never gotten around to finishing it on Netflix, but I have enjoyed what I've seen.

Loved the show through the first five seasons. Struggled to get into the final two, but need to go back and give the entire series a rewatch.

It never got lost in the shuffle during the awards season. But that's what happens when you live everyday like it's Shark Week. One of the best finals ever

Just didn't have the ambition to really continue but pushed through and that's why I need to just binge watch it again some time and not stop. Know I was into The Office, Scrubs, and Arrested Development at the same time also so that might have played a factor.

There ain’t no party like a Liz Lemon party ’cause a Liz Lemon party is mandatory! I loved her father, Dick. "YOU CAN'T HAVE A LEMON PARTY WITHOUT OLD DICK!" No bullshit, I choked on my drink so badly at that line, my wife had to administer aid to me..

First season is really good, second season is absolutely stellar and probably the peak, but then... Loved the show through the first five seasons. Struggled to get into the final two, but need to go back and give the entire series a rewatch. I'm halfway through season five, is there a drop in quality the last two? Cast change, etc? You start to see in seasons 3 and 4 celebrity guests becoming more and more frequent to the point where the last years of the show there is so much bending over backwards to accommodate these cameos and side-characters that the main characters' development just stops and the show feels like it goes in circles. Between that and the show repeatedly writing itself into a corner where things would have worked out perfectly for a finale, but then had to keep going because the show kept getting renewed. Liz Lemon's story would have had such a satisfying ending had she wound up with Carol, but that would have wrapped the show too early and her long-term love interest in further seasons were never as endearing.

The landmark of this new golden age of television. Iconic. And among top 10 sitcoms ever made.

Maybe the best wire-to-wire comedy I've ever seen. The Office had a pretty bad drop-off in the last few seasons. Parks and Rec had lulls in terms of the comedy itself, while still being a good show. Community had the gas leak year. But 30 Rock's comedic writing was sharp the entire run.
Also, Jack Donaghy is a better character than Michael Scott and Ron Swanson. Scott was more real and likable. But both Scott and Swanson were written at times in a way that seemed forced to that character. Baldwin made everything Donaghy did seem natural and effortless, even moreso than Steve Carell's portrayal of Michael Scott.

Anyone who talks bad about either of the Kelsey Grammer episodes is my enemy.

As many may know, Tina Fey is my all-time celebrity crush, so naturally I gave this a shot when it finally started airing here. Thankfully it was damn good stuff for the most part. Season 4 and some of Season 5 were a bit weak, but I found that it picked up steam again from there. There are bits that I can put on now and STILL crack up like mad.
(Dr. Leo Spaceman may be up there competing with Mayor Adam West for being my favourite supporting character EVER)

[Chuckles] Hmm, different time. the '60s. My controversial 30 Rock opinion is that the first two seasons are pretty brilliant, but then it kinda loses steam from there, about the same time they started to focus more on guests and when Liz stopped being a relatively normal (if still eccentric) straight man character. That said, Carrie Fisher is one of the best guest star spots ever. Don't you get it, the letter box was a Haldeman reference!

I'm in the "First two season were amazing, then it slowly started to lose focus" camp.

Relative to the Fox shows making fun of Fox, season 4 and 5 of 30 Rock really makes fun of NBC. Does anyone know what was going on with NBC at the time?
