First real match after I get used to the controls I use Aleister Black against one of the OCs (not put in that many people yet) and it ends in a back and forth strike brawling sequence ending with me hitting the Black Mass. Pretty damn appropriate way to cap it off.

I'm pretty much entirely simming rather than playing the game myself, and honestly I'm having a blast.
I've got a pair of Brawl 4 All style MMA titles inspired by the nL streams, one for SWA Rules Pancrase-style, one for the Decagon, and my two dominant champions are PWG's Excalibur, and Braun Strowman, respectively. Braun in particular is a beast, won the title in a tournament beating Gary Albright in the final and has a total record of 15-0, all knockouts, and at this point I don't think anyone is ever getting the belt off him.
Meanwhile, the current leading jobbers are, for Pancrase, Minoru frigging Suzuki, who has lost twice to Road Dogg; and in the Decagon, Luke Harper and Masahiro Chono. Chono's 0-10, and Harper is 0-4 having even jobbed to Mac from It's Always Sunny.
My only complaint with the game is that sometimes edit-making feels a tad repetitive, without the gradients option from the old games there's definitely a need for more parts because I find it can get hard to keep wrestler looks interesting or diverse. A paint tool would be amazing if at all possible. Ditto a move editor, but I imagine that both are beyond possibility.

Well, decided to random up a group of people to determine an initial WCW Champion and then let the computer play it out for me. In order, Sunil Singh, Erick Rowan, Jeff Hardy, Chad Gable, Yoshihiro Takayama, Aleister Black, and Luke Harper fell to the new WCW Champion, Zangief.

The hype video for nL’s Brawl 4 All 3 is already done and it’s pretty damn good. youtu.be/ZgRnjnZuVQQLanguage warning and also not embedding because of really minor WWE footage (from Shamrock’s Raw intro bit but still).

Spike Chunsoft tweeted today that Fire Pro’s coming to PS4 in both North America and Europe this Summer.
Not a confirmed date but at least there’s a time period put down for future news.

Unless they include the NJPW stuff with it $50 really seems like it's pushing it.

Unless they include the NJPW stuff with it $50 really seems like it's pushing it. The price is the one thing I'm worried about, not for myself, necessarily, but for getting others into it. One of the appeals of the first release on Steam was that the price point was low, being in early access. Even when it went up when it came out of it, it was still reasonable. Now, this could be indicative about how much the still-unreleased DLC could be, if the disc version has both the Management Mode and NJPW Mode are included on disc. I wouldn't be surprised if either is between $5-10, which would easily justify the price. It's just convincing others whether the price is worth it, considering the content you get. It's a tough sell, but when you consider that the average price for the WWE games to get all of the content is almost $100, it's a bargain.

And yeah, I already preordered, price be damned. I need to play this on PS4 and to stream it.

If you already bought it on steam do you get the New Japan stuff or will I have to buy something else?

PS4 version = Everything included for the price.
PC version = Fire Promoter Mode + NJPW Story Mode are paid DLC.
The community has added amazing things to the game in recent months: Play-By-Play Announcing, Ring Announcing, we've started on venue modding (meaning stuff that isn't the ring or the ringside area), custom move packs, super finishers, custom/dynamic camera angles, custom entrance ramp dancers (Nitro Girls are available, as are druids standing still holding torches for when you pull out Taker).
Stuff coming in the future is... First Blood matches, Mask VS Mask matches, switching movesets on the fly during matches (Meaning, you could have double/triple the number of moves you have now, just hit that button and rotate between your movesets!), more user-created custom moves... and a distant whisper of custom heads and textures, which, given the custom entrance ramp dancers guy got druids WITH TORCHES in there and that's not anywhere in the game, we could say we're there as far's that's concerned.

Honestly, if the modders can figure out away to do a 30 Man Rumble mode (8 on screen at once, with another coming in after each elimination) I don't think I'll ever have a reason to buy another wrestling game again.

I'm straight up idiotic when it comes to mods, to the point where I couldn't even unpack the original setup that you need to even install his mod. No amount of tutorials can teach me how to do it right, and I'm bummed that I don't know anyone who can just do it for me. :/

And how they work.

I feel like I've asked this before, but has anyone ever thrown a match and let the CPU win because it felt right for the match?
I've done that once or twice. I'm about to do it again because I'm thinking a tournament will end in Austin vs. Hogan, and I don't want them to face off just yet. So as Austin, I'm going to throw a match so the final is something different.
