My older brother loves wrestling, yet hates WWF/E, loved NWA and WCW over WWF every day. I tried to introduce him to New Japan. He follows ROH and even hopes for TNA. He hated everyone, except Naito, he loves him. Then on a separate introduction to New Japan, I found out my younger brother who loves WCPW and liked WCW, ECW and attitude era WWF, just on a whim of making him watch Naito vs Okada on AXS TV, immediately fell in love with Naito. Just a few months ago, I told them Meltzer loved Okada/Omega, they both watched it and crapped on it. But for whatever reason, Naito is their guy and he is mine too. My point, is Naito the most charismatic guy in NJPW or is it just me? Talk amongst yourselves

He's the f***ing man.
He might also be their smartest promo/interview. Every one he gives, he gets across his own sleazy goals as a character, but also does or says something to make the story of the match interesting. Both of the last two matches at WK were great, but I preferred Tana/Naito and I think a lot of it has to do with character work.

He absolutely is. Backstage, he's respected by everyone for his storytelling ability and character commitment.

He's definitely up there. I really like the way he carries himself, just full of defiance and confidence.

I guess my point of the whole thing, is with there being a good chance Omega leaves in a year, and NJPW working on building their US market, I think that focus should be built on Naito. Unlike Okada, his character and charisma really translates to US fans much like Nakamura.

There are a number of really charismatic performers in NJPW right now, and Naito might be arguably the most. That says a lot.

Yeah, his is a very unique charisma, and it's reflective of the "Genius" nickname he's had for all these years. The dude just gets it when it comes to the impact it has on fans when they can pick up on the small details of how you carry yourself, and how little gems thrown into a promo here and there can add new depth to a seemingly simple situation.
I've heard people say they want him to get a new theme song to match his current personality, but I disagree: I think his Stardust Genius theme, fast, thumping, and driving, juxtaposed with his incredibly slow and delicate "tranquilo" walk to the ring, says a lot about the image he's trying to put across.

I wouldn't touch his theme song, I agree it works perfectly with his slow entrance.
