Brock selling Shane's "punches".. *shudder*

That would've been ridiculous, I like Shane but him going toe-to-toe with Lesnar would not work at all, not one bit.
Unless Lesnar is allowed to leave Shane like Orton last year at Summerslam, then I could have bought it.

Would explain it randomly dropped after a week or so if interaction.

I don't necessarily mind Shane wrestling at WrestleMania if he really wants to (not excited about AJ being the one he faces, but yeah), but why the hell would he want to face Brock? Not that Brock's dangerous or would hurt him or anything, but I don't want to see a non-wrestler take 17 suplexes. I'm not even a massive fan of wrestlers taking them.

UT/Shane was pretty unbelievable coming in, I can't be expected to suspend disbelief for a Brock/Shane match.
But screw you for taking up AJ's Wrestlemania match, Shane-O.

It sounds more like Shane chose AJ instead of Brock.

Shane looked horrible struggling to breathe and almost dying in a match with 9 other guys at survivor series where he only had to do a couple spots.A match with Lesnar would be beyond stupid.

Shane is the one person who "makes sense" getting beaten like main eventers get beaten in Brock matches. A shame one of the best wrestlers in the world gets saddled with having to sell the boss's kid as a legitimate threat. It sounds more like Shane chose AJ instead of Brock. No, it's been pretty consistently reported Brock was pushing really hard for the Goldberg program and to have that play out across multiple PPVs once the deal was inked to bring him in, and the Summerslam ending was definitely setting up Shane getting his ass whooped by Brock at some point. AJ is plan B.

Brock is smart enough to realize how shit that'd make him look. I don't blame the guy one bit for getting himself out of that.

Ay, look at the brightside of this. Styles and Ambrose made Ellsworth into a believable wrestler who has a shot against Styles albeit it was with one move. That was done by Ambrose helping Ellsworth be a true underdog and it took AJ's wrestling skills once they threw down. In this case? Shane has the chance to look as legit as possible against Styles compared to anyone else in the company. Nobody else could sell this like Styles right now unless they were like idk Enzo but I mean no other main eventer.
I just hope that AJ just bumps and doesn't do any of the crazy moves given it's Shane he's against. Shane is the risk taker here.

When I read a post up there that said it'd be ludicrous to expect Shane to be able to go toe to toe with Lesnar, I thought to myself, "you mean like The Undertaker?" That (the idea of Shane vs Taker) was stupid all in itself. I don't want to see Shane in a Wrestlemania ring. Period. Right on.

When I read a post up there that said it'd be ludicrous to expect Shane to be able to go toe to toe with Lesnar, I thought to myself, "you mean like The Undertaker?" That (the idea of Shane vs Taker) was stupid all in itself. Undertaker and Shane had a built in story of Shane being put in an impossible situation, Undertakers distrust and annoyance of Vince McMahon might be Vince's downfall, you expected Shane having a backup plan (like someone interfering doing the dirty work) since he's fighting for control of the company, shenanigans, the whole randomness of the return and match announcement on the same night, and the mandatory Shane does something crazy high spot. The biggest surprise of the match was nothing happened outside of the mandatory high spot. I don't think there will be none of that if he's facing Brock Lesnar and Brock Lesnar has been established as a much tougher opponent then The Undertaker. Shane has been overly exposed since then so the extreme randomness of Shane vs. Undertaker had cant carry the story forward. The only positives a cynic could find is Brock isn't main eventing or Brock isn't going to defeat popular full timer I like. Shit now I wish Brock vs. Shane happened instead.

Remember when Taker was announced as Shane's opponent and Shane didn't react or show any fear at all?
