Remember when Taker was announced as Shane's opponent and Shane didn't react or show any fear at all? One of the many things about Shane McMahon that annoy me. The only way this would have worked is if Shane had brought someone in to fight the match for him, so he had no fear because he already had a back up plan. Dude's the first guy in history to really no sell the Undertaker. It was sprung on him by Vince as a dastardly surprise and Shane's like "Oh okay, cool". f*** off. It's a shame AJ doesn't have the same stroke as Lesnar. Like...how in the hell do they even think that Shane could hang in the ring with Brock? Shane only wrestles because WWE want their high spot moment where he jumps off something. "jumps"

It'd be no more ridiculous than him coming back from a 7+ year layoff to go toe to toe with The Undertaker and give him a more competitive match than Ambrose gave Lesnar on the same show. So, whatever imo.

I am actually sad that Shane vs. Brock isn't happening.
Not because I wanted to see the match, but just because it would have kept 2 people I don't give a f*** about away from everyone else.

Gonna watch live but... If Shane beats AJ, I will turn off Mania right there. It's not like there's any match that I'm actually looking forward to on the card anyway (ok, barely Jericho/Owens).
Just watching cause "it's Mania" but that result would actively piss me off.

They should have started the Shane/Brock build long ago if they were going to do it. Have Shane say he's been training for the fight and then have Angle revealed as his trainer. It'd make it more credible, get Angle back on television in a non wrestling role, and it'd draw massive heat for being basically a parody of Punk in UFC.

I wonder what Shane's feelings himself are on the matter. Maybe he thinks he's earned this or that he had a ton of crazy ideas planned that were all shot down. The story and payoff for WrestleMania matches has to be worth it. Say with the undertaker match, he could have studied old tapes of the undertaker, discovered an old letter from Paul bearer, had even Mick Foley telling him he will be finished as soon as he hits the ring etc. Get the posse to train him and try to trap the undertaker each week, have a random offer help to try to get in Vince's good books..... so much ideas. Nothing super swervey or complex. Something that is in keeping with Shane's character and still makes it entertaining.

Brock "I will do literally any single thing you ask me to do so long as you pay me and don't make me spend more than a week out of any given month away from my family" Lesnar *refused to work with Shane. That's...that's incredible to me.
Alright, Brock. We want you to lose your big return match.
Fine.
Then, HHH is going to use you as his own personal chew-toy for a year.
K.
Then, you're gonna get dick-kicked for several months.
Down with it.
THEN we're gonna need you to cave in somebody's skull.
Word.
And after that, you're gonna job, twice, to a 50 year old man who literally CAN'T go for more than 2 minutes at a time.
Tough, but fair.
THEN you're gonna work a program with Shane Mc....
*NO*

I never wanted Shane back really. The guy does nothing but bury talent whenever he gets physically involved. I still shudder at his awful 2009 garbage with Legacy. Remember the Raw where he faced all 3 men and basically crushed all of them? It's a joke.
The question with AJ is this: Where is it going? If Styles jobs to friggin Shane what do you even do with the guy after WM? How could he even stay on SD at that point when he basically had a massive fight with the commissioner? He would almost have to be moved to Raw.
