Seriously, that concept was stale as year old bread, knocking it out in one night was the best way to handle it for a year.
Thanks, Dean!

See, it's like what me & edgestar have been saying all this time: Dean Ambrose isn't such a bad guy after all.

They should do a storyline that the MITB winner really has to outsmart the champion.
Have the champion hire some bodyguards, have them protect the champion during nights when a cash in seems probable. So the briefcase holder has to get through the bodyguards to get to the champ.
Hell why wouldn't anyone do this if they were champion and knew they could lose the title anytime they walked down to the ring?

I don't mind the concept, but please please please stop carrying that ridiculous briefcase everywhere you go.

Man, something I really wanted to see when Seth had the briefcase and Lesnar was champ was for Brock to retain over Reigns at Mania without Seth cashing in. After that, I wanted Seth to be terrified of trying to cash in on Brock and for him to keep chickening out of doing it until it got to the following MITB PPV and whoever was in charge to be like 'okay, you HAVE to cash in here or you lose it' and end the story there, where Seth has no choice but to go one on one with Brock.

I'm still waiting for someone to call the MitB winner "briefcase wanker" when they walk past.

It de-legitimized the difficulty of knocking off the champion by ensuring anyone could get the belt regardless of how kayfabe strong/weak they were. Don’t get me wrong, Edge cashing in was amazing back in the day, but the concept got stale, and the whole gimmick created too many unbelievable champions like Dolph and Swagger.

Im absolutely gutted there is no MITB briefcase at this current period in time.
It may have spared us this mess of having an over the hill 50+ year old as champion

There really is so much more they could do with it if their writing wasn't so unfocused/lazy. Have the champion lobby for the MITB winner to have his match right before, so he's too tired to cash in or the champ attacks the briefcase holder on nights the MITB winner doesn't have a match so he is in no condition to cash in. It's the total lack of nuance that makes modern wrestling such a bore to watch at times.

I would love to see a cash in happen in the parking lot of somewhere outside of the arena.
Would be cool to see the champ leaving the arena only to be ran over and pinned by the briefcase holder.

I haven't missed it but when MITB returns, I hope they do something creative with it. There are plenty of routes to go instead of the tired "MITB winner spends weeks or months jobbing or being second rate before cashing in because SHOCK VALUE!"

I'm surprised they haven't had a heel champion put a bounty on the head of whom ever holds the MiTB briefcase to make them physically incapable of cashing in.

I think that is more an issue of booking than the case itself. They started using the case as 'BUY ONE PUSH GET ONE FREE IN ONE NIGHT' because it worked so well with Edge, and people like Dolph and Swagger who frequently looked like total geeks were expected to just suddenly be main event.

Don’t get me wrong, Edge cashing in was amazing back in the day, but the concept got stale, and the whole gimmick created too many unbelievable champions like Dolph and Swagger. Agreed. It's annoying that I can't enjoy genuine moments because I'm too busy thinking about if someone is going to cash in. Edge's first cash was good albeit Cena was far too strong. RVD's was good for doing what needs to be done most of the time in terms of how people should cash in. While Punk's were more of the same, at least there was an underlying story between his two cash in's. And Seth's was classic for doing it on the biggest stage and changing the match. Every other cash in has been dull and followed the same formula almost every single time. On top of that, it's also helped devalue the title by winning it in such a pathetic fashion so many times. There are so many ways to get the belt on a guy without needing to do the "shocking cash in".
