Jimmy Rave, in my opinion, is one of the most under appreciated wrestlers. His run in ROH from 2004 to 2007 brought some great memories and solidified himself as a great heel. He never got a ROH World Championship run and drug addiction took him out of the spotlight. Recently, he's been making a name for himself again. I took an abbreviated look at his ROH run as a refresher leading into an anticipated independent show appearance for AIW coming up in April. wrestlingrecaps.com/2017/03/25/jimmy-rave-the-crown-jewel/

you wrote it wrong. its not "Jimmy Rave", its "JIMMY RAVE!" you have to shout it when you refer to him was The Crown Jewel
always wished his career turned out better. his was waisted in TNA (like a lot of people) and saddled with a crappy gimmick, came back to ROH for a year which started out fine but then petered out and he left with no one noticing, came back to ROH a few years ago as part of the S.C.U.M. angle, but ended up getting hurt and leaving quickly
he was never going to win the ROH World Championship, but if they had the TV title back in the day i think he could have had a good run. also wished he and Shelley got a run with the tag titles (they could've had Tony Mamaluke & Sal Rinauro's forgettable transition reign). their match against Samoa Joe & Jay Lethal was one of my favorite matches from 2005 just because of their antics. Rave gives Joe a bunch of Kobashi chops, Joe no sells, Rave tags out to Shelley, Shelley gives Joe a bunch of Kobashi chops, Joe no sells, Shelley tags out to Rave, Rave starts walking to Joe, thinks better of it and tags out to Shelley, Shelley starts walking to Joe, thinks better of it and tries to tag out to Rave, but Rave drops down and pretends to yell at a guy in the front row because he doesn't want to face Joe

Quite possibly at one time the biggest heel in ROH. Everything just fit right. When he was announced from Ghana it legit pissed people off.
Apart from being wasted in tna, he admitted that when he returned to roh he was in a deep drug addiction so that's why his second roh run didn't work.
Another problem was that in my opinion, without the Prince Jimmy Rave character, the guy wasn't entertaining. He needed the package of Prince Nana and getting toilet paper thrown at him. In his aow episode with Rave, Colt said that fans would go to shows just to throw toilet paper at Jimmy.

Met him a few years ago at a SUPER small indy show just after he finished up his last TNA run. He looked like he absolutely did not want to be there, and he was pretty openly just doing his trainer, who booked the show, a favor. Also, he smelled like wet dog.

By far one of my favorites of the 2000's. Nana leaving really hurt him as he spent a few months in limbo, had the feud with Nigel, then left for TNA shortly after. His feud with Punk was what introduced me to ROH

I always had a soft spot for Nana/The Embassy.
I loved their theme. The instrumental version of "Drugs" fit the gimmick perfectly.

You're so right and I chuckled all night like a dope.

When I started following ROH (mid-05) and when I started attending shows (early 06) he was the biggest heel in the company. If it wasn't for his drug issues I think he would've amounted to more
