Because this thread will be amusing in 10 years.
Will he be looked at as a legend while Lance Catamaran III gets the Superman push? Will he be respected after leaving WWE and going to perhaps the 2027 equivalent of Lucha Underground? Will he finally have a Rock like transformation and actually become a fan favourite?

We will look back on the 'Magic Beans' promo like we do now at the Dusty 'Hard Times' promo.

Within five years of Vince McMahon's retirement/death (and they're probably going to be the same event), the "WWE" intellectual property brand will be sold off to Disney, Warner, or another media conglomerate. Live performances will be phased out and discontinued as the brand's profit potential is maximized through cartoons/toys/games/other media centered around fan favorite characters like Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, and the Undertaker.
Roman Reigns does not become significant enough to be featured in these products.

The way Cena is viewed today.
Roman's push will eventually become so second nature that people will begin to accept it despite the fact that he doesn't move business at all compared to anyone else they could have pushed in front of him. The WWE had Jeff Hardy, CM Punk, and Daniel Bryan all with universal crowd acceptance but refused to pull the trigger on them as much as they could have (Punk even turned heel so he could be fed to the Rock and Bryan needed the crowd to really riot to finally get his moment).
The company will likely develop a few super over guys over the next decade but push them aside for Roman, and he'll be the last man standing over that time. And with time comes acceptance. Fine Speech part II.

Honestly, hard to say, but it's probably going to be through a lens of some people blogging about it with, "Was it so bad? These and these matches were great, I don't get it", with other people looking back on it with, "You think NEW SCAPEGOAT/WHIPPING BOY is bad? He's no No-Man Lames. PFFT"

Me personally?
Genuine sympathy.
Because no matter what happens, dude isn't a bad talent at all. He's a pretty good talent in the state of the business and he's shown that. He could have been someone the fans believed in and one of the big names of the WWE. Instead, no matter what happens, dude's a tainted brand.
I'm not even saying he'll be in the same position as Cena unless he shows a random side to him that's film worthy but there's a reason someone as loyal as Cena after years of saying he'll never be like The Rock is now...being like The Rock. And now WWE is panicking because they spent so much time building Cena, they have nobody to replace him with and the one guy they did have is, at best, going to be the "Let's Go Cena/CENA SUCKS!" fill-in until he leaves for better places.
I blame the company's persistence in not developing who Roman Reigns is and pushing him no matter the reaction to why people aren't going to be fully behind Roman in 10 years because, if you look at Cena, they won't be.

By 2027, I would have deleted my account in 2018, create a new account in 2020, repackaged.
That aside,
Honestly? I see Roman Reigns falling from grace with the WWE in the near future, and he would spent most of his career in TNA. Much like Bobby Lashley imo.

I just wanna say hello to whoever bumps this thread in 2027 (like the recently bumped 10-year-old Cena thread) and hello to all those reading this in 2027......
Also, in case it has been forgotten to the sands of time, look up Southpaw Regional Wrestling and discover awesomeness.

He'll be booked in a mixed tag team match at Wrestlemania with his girlfriend Bayley against Ambrose/Renee with everyone oddly feeling a bit sad that he's not in one of the main event matches for once.
