I'm curious what the ratings were for this, but I can't find them.

Jim Ross is a complete piece of shit. Not only was his performance absolutely pathetic and unprofessional, that "Good luck with that" comment in response to Omega talking about 10,000 seat arenas sealed the deal. Did he think he was doing New Japan a favor by being there? It blows my mind to realize that Jim Ross can't hold a candle to Kevin Kelley at this point.

That just seems so odd to me, because 10,000 seats isn't that big. The Minor League Hockey arena where I am can seat 10,000 for hockey (12,000 for concerts/wrestling/etc.), and it's not a major city at all. Now, there's no way NJPW would draw 10,000 where I live, but if there's a justified reason to have a 10,000 seat arena here, then the arenas in the _Big_ Cities (NYC, Chicago, LA, Boston, Dallas, Toronto) should have no trouble drawing 10,000 from their population metro centers.

I got 5 minutes into Omega-Ishii and switched it off due to JR's bored commentary. Gonna get a njpw world sub and watch in Japanese as jr just sucked the life out of it. Imagine that dull tone over Kobashi-Mishawa or Austin-Hart. I know it was the beginning of the match but your tone did not match the action and surely that's rule 1.

I watched all of night 2 with Japanese commentary because I just couldn't take it. That being said even if you can't understand a word they say, they convey so much emotion that I didn't care.

Ha, Cody vs. Okada ****1/2 match? That's really a laughable rating. I would have probably said it was an okay *** affair personally. I don't think Cody is capable of a ****1/2 match if his life depended on it. About the best match I've seen him have was a no DQ brawl with Orton a few years ago on SD. According to Meltzer that main event was better than Ishii/Naito? I mean seriously?

Wanted to ask, since I'm really thinking hard about signing up for the G1 Climax...
Does New Japan World do on-demand, or only live-streaming?

Once a show airs, it's uploaded for on-demand almost immediately after. I basically never watch shows live on it, given that most start at 5am for me.

I watch all of the shows on demand the next morning since they start at 3am EST. The G1 US night 2 was the only time I watched a show live. Some people are crazy and stay up to watch them live. If I was on the west coast or in Europe I might do that.

They missed out on not having the celebratory streamers.

Managed to catch the replay on AXS...Great shit. Really gotten into NJPW as an alternative to the 'E. The in-ring action and personalities are so refreshing. Didn't even mind the commentary. Nothing's worse than Vince in Coles ear. Really stoked to see how the next year plays out with Okada and Omega.

They missed out on not having the celebratory streamers. NJPW has never had streamers. If you want authentic NJPW, there aren't going to be streamers

I could be wrong but those are done from New Japan themselves rather than people throwing them into the ring. It's a different thing and much more controlled.
