I never understood the 80s nostalgia...and I really hate when people my age (21) say they were children of the 80s...we were only 4/5 in 89-90...babies of the 80s. The 90s had so much more: - Video Games - Beavis and Butthead - Awesome Comedies (Dumb and Dumber, So I Married An Axe Murderer) - Random Jim Henson tv shows that barely lasted a season (Muppets Tonight, Jim Henson Hour, Ghost of Faffner Hall) - Comic book series Eff the 80s. Jim Henson Hour was 1989 It didn't get it until the 90s.

Just for making an anti-80's thread, I'm gonna go dress up in my Tony Montana costume again and go sing "Push it to the Limit" at a kareoke.

The only thing I like about the 80's....Me being born.
Granted, I was born in 1985, so I remember almost nothing firsthand of the 80's, only what ive learned since.
But it is my honest(and probably a little biased) opinion that in fact, 80's < 90's.
Sorry, but its just the way it is.

The Smiths is better than any cruddy band from the 90's. The Last Starfighter is better than any movie of the 90's. So, thus, the 80's is by far the better of the two.

I'm sick of all the weird trends from the 80's coming back.

It's all based on perspective obviously. In 10 years, what we think is crap now will be admired by a more naive generation.

To each their own...
Those who grew up in the 80s will take them, with their more than fair share of craptacular stuff, over the 90s anyday.
To me the 80s are clearly superior than the later decades in the music dept, even considering hair metal... Sitcoms and TV in general was way better, ditto for the Sports.
But I guess it's a matter of good, firsthand, memories versus posthumous knowledge

After all, a decade where I was born can't be that bad.

Okay not really the point i was making but yeah No one has a clue what point you were trying to make 'zactly. Thank you for saying what needed to be said. See, nostradumbass .... punctuation and sentence structure are not just passing fads that came and went in the 1980's. They are a vital part of message boarding. So please, with periods and commas and all that fun stuff ... what in the holy blue hell were you trying to say?

- Random Jim Henson tv shows that barely lasted a season (Muppets Tonight, Jim Henson Hour, Ghost of Faffner Hall) . You just disproved your own point. THose shows weren't very good at all compared to Fraggle Rock from the 1980s. Plus, collections of crappy 80s music are never as bad as that "Buzz Ballads" collection of grunge rock ballads from the 90s that they advertise on TV. Basically, the way I see it, the 90s was better as far as the American economy and stuff like that is concerned, but entertainment wise the 90s was pretty much the suckiest decade ever.
