After taking over the city they're regularly in, NXT returns to Full Sail to start the build towards the next Takeover in Chicago on May 20th. Here's what's on tap...
*Aleister Black vs. Corey Hollis
*#DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) vs. Dylan Miley & Michael Richard Blais
*Ruby Riot vs. Kimberly Frankele
*Andrade "Cien" Almas vs. Danny Burch
*Drew McIntyre vs. Oney Lorcan
As three Superstars say hello to Full Sail, one says goodbye, as former 2 time NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura will be saying his farewells to NXT, after being called up to SmackDown Live. It's been a wild year for the King of Strong Style, getting acclimatised to a new country and a new way of living, while entertaining NXT fans around the world, getting involved in big battles with the likes of Finn Bálor, Sami Zayn, Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode. As he prepares to start his new adventure, how will Shinsuke depart Full Sail?
Three years ago, the former "Chosen One" Drew McIntyre departed WWE, going on to win championships in promotions such as EVOLVE, ICW, TNA and WCPW (a title he actually still holds), and rebuilding his name from the depths of his days in 3MB. At Takeover: Orlando, he made his sensational return in the front row, as it was reported by ESPN that he had signed a new deal to compete on NXT. Tonight is McIntyre's first match back, and he's got a tough challenge against Oney Lorcan. Will it be a successful return for the massive Scot?
After his stunning entrance and debut match in Orlando, Aleister Black arrives in Full Sail, as he takes on Corey Hollis. The heavily tattooed Dutchman who believes that no man is truly good or evil has won championships all over Europe and has impressed in the States before arriving in NXT, and has a stellar kickboxing background - a good showing here could put him in NXT Champion Bobby Roode's sights.
The other first timer in Full Sail is The Punk Rock Ragdoll Ruby Riot - she made a great impression in a losing effort in the 8 person tag team match against SAnitY, and will want to continue that momentum against a competitor she considers a close friend in Kimberly Frankele, who in her former identity of Kimber Lee was the first female Grand Champion of CHIKARA, a promotion Riot called home as well. But somehow we doubt Nikki Cross will be finished with Riot...
In other action this week, Andrade "Cien" Almas looks to rebound from his loss to Black as he takes on Danny Burch, and with The Revival out of the picture, #DIY look to stake a claim to being the true top contenders for the Authors of Pain as they face the team of Dylan Miley and Michael Richard Blais.
All this and more from 8/7c on the WWE Network!
