I mean, my only response to that is a) views and hits have never affected any other department in WWE and ratings have gone down to record lows regardless (or else Raw would be getting 16m a week from the Hardy Boyz return video alone) and b) the social media department (YouTube included, probably partially due to the advertising changes) lost money in the last quarter.
So they might count it, but it's SUPER grasping at straws.

Interesting. WWE views youtube video counts as to how stars are viewed and how angles are being pushed. With that said, this Jinder celebration's almost got 2M views and it's by far the most viewed video of theirs this week. It's the first week and a lot can change but shit so far so good on all fronts. He's got the look, he's got the press, he's got the views. It's working out thus far. It is said most of WWE's views are international. Not everyone internationally has cable or access to WWE TV outside of YouTube. The whole goal is apparently to make Jinder merchandise popular in India.

Not a single thing yet.
Which, again, makes me boggle my mind about this whole thing. You had a month to build the guy up and you couldn't even have a t-shirt ready for Backlash?
Sure, they didn't decide on who the champ was until the day of but still.

That initial bubble of people wanting to support even for the shock of it will be gone soon.
You'd think they'd churn SOMETHING out. Even TNA gave Shera a shirt when he was featured.

^Does Jinder even have merch? He got his first shirt today. It actually is a really nice shirt, but if there's anything that's throwing me off a bit, it's that it looks oddly like a Sheamus shirt.

Oh it's not even my joke, I stole it from someone in here earlier. Anyays that's legit. I'm starting to root for the guy just due to the absurdity of this all. Not really a fan exactly but his interviews and stuff, he just seems pretty likeable. I mean I still think this was a strange move but really it's got my attention just to see how it plays out.

Who fresher than Jinder, riddle me that? The rest of y'all know where he athletically at. Can't none of y'all mirror him back. Yeah, watchin' him work is like watchin' Flair work in his prime

Eh if fans from other nations wanna root for 'their guy' regardless of presentation, let em. Not hurtin anything for em to be stoked yeah let em. My point was how easily everyone can be manipulated
