Isn't Sportskeeda only like Rajah-levels of news credibility, though?

Honestly it sounds like it's lucky that they didn't go that direction, because it seems like Taker genuinely would not have been capable of an actual match at the Rumble followed by an Elimination Chamber match.

Yeah I'm not sure I like all the Taker action. Too many PPVs for the guy when he clearly couldn't go. The big problem I have with all of this was what ended up happening to the WWE title. Instead of simply putting it back on AJ at the Chamber (which they should have done) they put it on Wyatt for unknown reasons only to have him transition to Orton in the silliest feud in recent memory.
I'm still trying to figure out why WWE is keeping Styles away from the WWE title and actually putting him vs. Owens for the U.S. I mean I get it, WWE is rewarding Orton for letting Lesnar beat his brains out. Give him the Rumble win, a token WM title match, and then put the belt back on AJ.

but it probably saved us from Reigns winning the rumble again.

but it probably saved us from Reigns winning the rumble again. It may have been Lesnar winning it in that case to set up the Goldberg rematch, or still even Orton to be the challenger for Styles.

I love the idea of a guy agreeing to propose to his longtime girlfriend at his employer's biggest show of the year and being given a championship title run as thanks.

I genuinely forgot Cena had a title run this year.

If true, then looks like WWE'll be winning the Observer award for Most Disgusting Promotional Tactic this year.

Everything except Styles winning the title back at EC was talked about as far back as Survivor Series so I am not shocked.

If Taker could still go , a match with AJ would have been pretty damn good

Yeah it's that part of the story that makes me think this thing is a load of newz. It might mean the public, in the middle of the ring proposal? I meant that I don't think John Cena (or a lot of wrestlers) care that much about winning a title or see it as an acceptable reward.

If Cena retired Taker, he'd have to turn heel...yeah that probably wouldn't work.

If Cena retired Taker, he'd have to turn heel...yeah that probably wouldn't work. Considering they are trying their damnedest to defy that logic with Reigns, he really doesn't have to. The bigger problem is that Cena would end up doing nothing with it, as he's on movie hiatus right now.
