Ah yes, I remember the pain known as braces. I wanted to drain a bottle demoral, vicodin, and Jack Daniels after visits to the orthodontist. I also blame that bastard for fascintion with dominatrix movies because of the pain I had go through with my teeth am very happy that I am through with othrodontist and never have to see him again.

Clove oil will numb them. It tastes really bad though, so bad that tooth ache is preferable. Chloroseptic sprays with Lidocaine in them are good.

Aspirin (I hope I spelled that correctly), is my best to help you with the pain. Not really a lot helped curb the pain when I had those torture devices in my mouth.

I remember getting those braces tightened. I feel your pain. The best thing for me was to have a few of those Flavor-Ice pops. The crunching felt good and the ice numbed the pain a little bit. That was always my trick

That was always my trick If you're talking about the long, rectangular ones that you get in the plastic baggies, then you should also mention that the orange ones are the BEST FROZEN FOOD EVER.[/size] That is all.

Get your parent to throw a whiskey bottle at you. "My teeth hurt" ***SMAS**** Hooray Family Guy reference. Thank You! I was wondering where that was from. Also, you might want to try squeezing an entire tube of Anbesol into your mouth. It'll numb your teeth and gums up real good, but you'll drool like Snitsky on a shoe-shopping trip with Paris Hilton.

So glad I don't have braces, but they waited so long to finish my retainer that my teeth just moved back to where they were before I got braces. So I just gave up on completely straight teeth.
To deal with the pain, involve yourself in something else to take your mind off the pain.

Do they give you the numbing gel stuff in america? they had to stop here as it was dangerous, but by god did it make you feel good.
as far the pain.. enjoy it...
i'm a victim of: removable brace (though it was multicoloured, and i still have it), headgear (yup,. plug it into the brace at night, stretch over the head, big metal bar, cant lat on my side properly, fun 6 months!) and a key to "self tighten" that brace. THEN train tracks. fortunatly no elastic bands, and i got coloured ones for that as well.
about a year and a half, then the plastic retainers.. they were all right, binned them the other day. Now my teeth are as straight Kanyon........... maybe that was a bad example

When i had them, the best stuff for pain was that numbing gel. But i never found tightening to hurt as much as everyone told me it would.
