I actually really liked this movie, except for the design of Minya and maybe the fact that it was a Godzilla movie (more on that later)... I personally really enjoyed the human drama parts of the movie, and the introduction of the Kamikas (or however they spelt, the Praying Mantis) as glowing eyes in the night is one of my favorite scenes in any Godzilla movie. I like the design of the mantises, the human base, and the Kumanga (spider), but the Godzilla was ugly as sin and Minya was somehow even worse. It also has one of my favorite soundtracks of any Godzilla movie. Sadly, even though I like the new monsters and the human plot, I think Godzilla himself drags the movie down (Except for his beach arrival which is epic) because after a few movies where he battled the likes of Mothra and Ghidora the idea of some flimsy mantises and a slow moving spider being a threat to him is just too much. Though I guess we did get the flaming Mantis leg in this, which was also awesome (A lot of cool visuals and composite shots in this Godzilla movie).

Understandable.......like I said, this movie isn't bad. It has huge problems like the monsters Godzilla face in this film and yes, the costumes for Godzilla and Minya were bad. Surprisingly, I think this was the first movie they used the Minya costume as the Godzilla one was a re-used one (something they rather did plenty of time to save cost despite appearance until the costume was completely unusable anymore (which they would then recycle into another monster for other shows)) and you could tell. But if someone enjoyed this film, I would not fight them on it. The only one I would really argue with someone on is really Godzilla's Revenge.

I do remember crying as a kid when it started snowing at the end and they huddled together.
I'm man enough to admit it.
