www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uqo1p60tkXMI was just thinkin about MVP earlier. They really shoulda done more with him. He had a good run certainly, but for whatever reason they didn't put him in that top echelon. Was he fantastic in ring? Not really, but he was at least able to put on a good match, and had charisma that would easily make up for that. He coulda at least held the then World title given that guys like Khali, Ziggler and Swagger all had a turn with it. I'm not trying to knock those guys really, but Montel Vontavious Porter was at least on their level.

I'd love seeing a nostalgia run on SDL.

Remember that awful "Ballin" theme song he got towards the end of his run?

Remember his tag team with Mark Henry that did basically nothing for either guy?

He was DOA once they took his sleeves away.
There's just some things you don't do. You don't cut Ziggler's hair. You don't put Ryback in trunks. You don't make Umaga speak English. And you don't take MVP's sleeves. Once you take away those things that set you apart, it pretty much kills their aura.
I liked MVP a lot. He wasn't the best workers, but I believed the gimmick and that's always the most important thing to me. I thought he was excellent as US champion and would've excelled if given the opportunity in the main event.
Oh and I swear, his original music HAD to be written for the Boogie Man.

I'll be honest I remember and have seen a lot of people talk like he should have been this top guy but I never saw it. kudos to him for being someone that actually managed to make a losing streak gimmick work, very few people could pull that off. Remember his tag team with Mark Henry that did basically nothing for either guy? HEY! That's not true... It had Henry add WSM to back of his singlets... which I think he still has

I loved MVP, and he could have been huge if he was given some leeway in a time when everyone was on the shortest leash possible. His US Title feud with Matt Hardy was the bright spot of an absolutely horrendous year of Smackdown.
Now, he's too old and broke into the business far too far along in his life to do anything. He could be a good addition to a competent creative team to add an "urban" influence, though.

It's about time the hit 2000 movie, MVP: Most Valuable Primate got the love and praise it deserves. Could have been something great.

Remember that awful "Ballin" theme song he got towards the end of his run? You think that was awful? Just listen to his later attempt to kick off a music career.

Remember his tag team with Mark Henry that did basically nothing for either guy? Remember how MVP had all that momentum from when he cut that scathing promo on Randy Orton following that year's draft, or that Henry face turn where he refused to lay down to Orton? Remember how both of them were white hot in Summer 2009 ready to take the next step in a Summerslam title match? But then they did John Cena vs. Randy Orton part 5000 where they proceeded to salt the earth on anyone ever wanting to see that match again with constant rematches? Well, at least we got that one tag team out of all of that.

WWE could probably sign him, just for a Scottish Limo.
