Why hasn't Asuka started to turn heel yet?

So yeah, am I the only one who thought that this was where the character was headed after TakeOver Orlando - where she cheated (if I remember correctly) to retain her title against Ember Moon?

And then she interferes in a fourway match to determine the #1 contender, beating the shit out of all of them, and injuring the previous contender to her title - seemingly not giving a shit.
She gets booked in a threeway, where the idea is, any one can walk out with the title even if they don't pin her - they have her yell out frustration when she realises she might lose it.

But she still plays the face - to a dead crowd unfortunately.

I thought by now, we would have the "win by any means" version of Asuka, still as deadly, but much more devious and conniving.
Instead, we have the same Asuka - dance to the ring, smile a beautiful smile when the mask gets pushed to the side.

What gives?!

She is more of a tweener or becoming a two faced character, outwardly smiling to fans but inside kind of loathing them. That sort of thing really doesn't translate to a coherent character in the ring though.

She's acting like a douche, she cheated at the last Takeover then interrupted the battle royale in an attempt to make sure there was no challenger for her title

Like I said the whole NXT Women's Division is in this weird limbo purgatory mode with uncertainty and Ember Moons injury made it worse.

Like it seems like they are keeping Asuka because she's the only women heads and heel above everyone else, Ember Moon is being pushed because she's then only solid hand that can keep up to Asukas pace, Nikki Cross focus seems to be on Sanity, they want to push Ember Moon but are very uncertain she can carry the women's division, and they aren't sure if they want Asuka to leave undefeated or not.

I have a feeling we will finally get a lot clearer picture after The Women's Tournament

Honestly the division's kind of a mess right now because it's really well past time for Asuka to move on but they don't seem to want to do it and there's nobody around who's a believable threat to her, or really is nearly as good as she is as a talent.

I think one of the telling things I noticed was the fact during the last TV show they showed her acting all intense, then she's smiling and playing up to the crowd outside, after that she's almost stuck up once she was out of view. To me she's already a heel even if she isn't acting like the prototypical heel.

I keep thinking they would've had a finish like that booked if Ember was involved. I'm still convinced that's who she drops the belt to, and with her out of the match they just dropped the angle instead of having Asuka with the unclean win at the expense of someone other than Ember.
