Local news station cited the BBC in saying that there are 23 dead and a lot more wounded but I'm not seeing that on the live blog they're keeping. Can anyone watching BBC confirm or debunk this?

GMP are saying 19 people have died (so far :/)
Sky sources are saying the injuries are consistent with shrapnel wounds and possibly a nail bomb.

It's only speculation and all, but some people are leaning toward this being accidental simply because it happened toward the end of the concert. Not exactly sure what to make of that just yet.

That used a pressure cooker to deliver a shrapnel-heavy explosion, including nails. Only 3 people were killed, but 260 people were wounded. Though I don't know how you'd get something like that past arena security.

Sounds like its possible the guy didn't get in and may have detonated by the entrance while the crowd was letting out.

"BBC reporter Tim Ashburn told BBC 5 live he has been told by police that they have found a second suspect device and want to carry out a controlled explosion."

It's also being stated that it might be a possible suicide bomber

Right outside the foyer is the ticket office and merch sales, along with a McDonald's all of which you can go to BEFORE the next set of doors where you give your ticket and have a security check.

Brother just told me about this. Yikes, really terrible that this happened, accident, intentional, whatever it was.

What's really awful is not how many people may have been killed by the explosion, but how many injured trampled to death in the rush for the exits. Any way you slice it, this is tragic and my thoughts and prayers are with the victims, the survivors, the families, the police, the first aid, Manchester and England tonight.

Dammit...I'm emotional right now watching this coverage. If it's confirmed to be a terrorist attack, I just can't even imagine targeting an event at which there would clearly be hundreds or thousands of children. I just can't even imagine...f**K it I can't even finish this.

Seems like terrorists are getting real tough these days, they must be very proud targeting concerts where the primary audience is young girls.
