I loved the whole "Bolland's artwork was too hard to animate"
Ummmm, Bollocks
The whole film just screams "Get it out so people stop asking about it"

Another thing that didn't work was the ambiguity of the ending. Here it just straight up ends. I was at one of the Cinemark screenings; that ending DIED on the screen. People were just like: "That was it?"
Also, what is Doug talking about at one point-- he mentions the added element of the musical number. You guys know as well as I do, it was in the book.

The art and animation were subpar for even TV standards. I would have loved for the time and budget wasted on the prologue to have been applied to the second half.

Remove the Bruce Timm added crap and I enjoy The Killing Joke. The prologue crap just proves to me once again that Bruce Timm isn't nearly as talented as people make him out to be.
As far as the animation,it didn't look that bad to me. Sure it isn't as good as Bolland's art. But doing the entire film in that style would have taken 3 times as long and cost a lot more. My only other complaint about TKJ is the ending. I would have rather it have been left more like the comic. In that unless you read the original script pages you can't tell if Batman killed Joker or not.

I thought most of the performances were alright. Hamill isn't as over the top as he normally is, but Moore's dialogue doesn't really call for a super-clowny delivery. Ledger researched Killing Joke for his Joker, and he was still scary but a bit more subdued.
The animation though is pretty weak. It wasn't as fluid as some of the better B:TAS episodes.
