WWE once again inexplicably sabotaging...them selves. Makes no sense

When Bayley mentioned watching the Dreamer/Sandman stuff tonight I was thinking of how much better the build to this would have been had they actually, you know, done that. As in vignettes of her training with those guys on the art of beating someone with the Singapore cane, or Raven getting her to wear the seedy jean shorts and the grunge shirts, etc. Weird, wacky stuff to "toughen" her up. But yeah, Bayley is totally buried after tonight. Stick a fork in her. They've sacrificed her to push someone like Bliss, who in so many ways is a jarring step back to the previous Bellas style crap in that division. I mean they could have her go totally insane and become a raving heel, but I tend to think they probably won't. This is something I've been wondering myself, actually. Bayley seemed like someone who potentially could have changed the WWE system a little, in the sense that she was a female star whose strengths were in-ring and charisma, who can have strong main event matches (Respect and her Raw match with Charlotte being examples) and who blossomed in NXT with sympathetic booking. Alexa's good on the mic, sure, but her appeal feels like a throwback to the old days of the Diva's division, you can't imagine her main eventing anything, and there's probably people high up in WWE who like it that way.

She will recover
WWE just have a bad habit of caring about one or two things at any time
Right now they are putting their baskets in the Alexa Bliss corner.
The only thing i'm mad about is this has completely messed up the Sasha/Bayley feud that was getting built up

I just can't understand how anyone can't see how much they completely killed her off tonight. After all the bad booking decisions with her, tonight was a complete stake-in-the-heart squash. She looked like a complete jobber.
The ONLY thing that might save her is if we find out she can go full psycho heel. Outside of Bailey: World Destroyer, there is ZERO chance she'll ever recover.

I always say this but turn Bayley heel, itll do her and us a world of good, the fact is her character right now doesnt work at all.

I just can't understand how anyone can't see how much they completely killed her off tonight. Because it only takes one person to say give her the push again I can bet she will still be featured as a main star but she's stuck in the "innocent but idiot role." She needs a personal feud which will hopefully come with Sasha to get rid of that characteristic of her.

So, basically do a Rocky Maivia/Owen Hart-style heel turn, where she justifies it by saying that she constantly tried to do the right thing, but the fans who wanted her on the main roster and cheered her for being the wholesome Face have turned their backs on her.

Certainly hasn't worked with Reigns. And that's the real problem: She is beyond dead with the fans now. They were already turning on her thanks to her shit booking over the last year. Tonight finished her off.

Ok, this comes up with this stuff all the time and I just did a whole thread about this so I thought now would be a time to ask; Why put people in a situation where you NEED to have one person believe in you to turn it around? Why not try and play up their strengths and make them look good consistently so that you can still make money from them even when they're not on top? I'm not saying everyone needs to be on the same level but if they want this like a good TV show, most of the players on the show aren't made to be goofs so that a couple of people look good. Shows like that don't last longer than a season at best.

Bliss is just the flavor of the moment right now.
They could easily give Bailey another push someday. I would like to see them hire her soon-to-be hubby Aaron Solow and have them work together.

Not like she did an exceptional work on the Main roster until now. Character wise she is abysmal.

Your first mistake is betting on character development on RAW, which frankly, is an extreme rarity or done poorly...
She has had a year to develop out of this dulldrum and if anything she has only regressed with tonight being the apex of that.
It's cool to have hope and all but tonight was a dark moment for anyone who is a Bayley fan, it was not pretty and the future for Bayley as a whole probably looked much better before it.

Raw or Smackdown if either does anything right than it's a surprise for me Raw can take pointers on how SD book their woman and Vice versa for the tag division.

Yeah it's weird how the Booking for each show can't keep a focus
Like Bayley has enough of a core fanbase where she could probably bounce back, but she might be the worst case of NXT Syndrome I've seen yet, where NXT does everything right with you and then you go to RAW and you just die a slow death... at least as it stands right now.

I think American Alpha has her beat on that. People wanted The Acension to win because AA were so bland and dominant

I'd say Tyler Breeze was worse. At least Bayley was actually featured prominently and given some successes, Breeze they debuted on SmackDown back before it remotely mattered, immediately dumped him into the neverending slog that was the Dolph Ziggler rotating door love story, and completely gave up on him within about a month over petty bullshit.

But I think Alpha will take being bland and current nonexistent over what Bayley's been going through. I think it's safe to say between the This is Your Life Segment and that match tonight she's had one of the worst booked weeks of wrestling... and she wasn't exactly on great ground before then either.
Even her WrestleMania moment was weak in my opinion.

As it stands now though, Breeze is getting over with Breezango in a very quick fashion. Im not saying that didn't suck but if Im going by as it stands right now, Breeze is way above candidates like Bayley, Banks, Alpha, Bo Dallas, Kalisto, Crews, and Ascension level of NXT Dropped Balls. That can always change though.
I'd say before all this Adam Rose was the worst especially for how long they played around with him before his Party Flop, but he got released so only focusing on the ones currently employed.
