I've been a Kiss fan for a long time, but I swear, Gene Simmons is the Vince McMahon of the rock world. If he can slap a logo on it, he'll go for it. Didn't Dio use the devil horns as his main thing though. Surely Simmons knows this is pointless. Yes, and he got it from his grandmother; it's apparently some old world thing. It's a gesture meant to ward off "the evil eye" (or malocchio in Italian), which was supposed to be a curse cast by an evil or malevolent glare. For how much people demonized metal music back in the day, its most enduring symbol is actually a protection from evil, not a promotion of it. |

How do you copyright perhaps the most commonly known and already replicated piece of sign language in existence? DDP's lawsuits at least stand on the ground that he was the very first to throw that gesture and call it a "diamond," which the offenders were doing and attempting to market as well. For those wondering, DDP's "diamond" hand-signal looks absolutely nothing like the actual ASL sign for diamond - www.signingsavvy.com/sign/DIAMOND/1213/1WWE tried to copyright the "kliq" hand-signal, but couldn't, presumably because it's the ASL sign for llama. Simmons doesn't have a chance and is just doing this for attention because he's a crusty gaseous abomination of an attention whore. And I like KISS more than most, but Gene and Paul have decades-long reputations as scumbags. |

Yeah, for somebody that always has an opinion on who should or shouldn't be consider musicians or rock n' rollers or whatever, Gene Simmons needs to come to grips with the fact that KISS was never more than an all right band with a good gimmick and great marketing. |

I like KISS, but Gene Simmons is such a greedy piece of shit. Any time I buy a KISS record I almost feel ashamed of myself because I'm afraid that someone will accidentally think that I like Gene Simmons. Musically, I'd argue he's arguably the least talented member of KISS. He just got the coolest gimmick out of the four.
