I've been hearing things go back and forth between these two for a long time now. The stuff seems to really be heating up this past couple of weeks with Russo wanting to debate Jim turning around and challenging him to a fight. Russo replied back with a sarcastic apology to which Jim gave one as well, but at the end of it, Jim said something that could be taken as a very serious threat in the right context. After all of this I'm just wondering if it is ever really going to amount to anything like a real fight, or a pull apart at an event or what?

Nah. For all the bluster between the two, any actual face to face conversation would probably boil down to childish name calling and maybe a brief, embarrassing slap fight if Corny really went overboard. Not gonna happen.

Nah. They'd never appear in the same place together.

it WOULD be darkly amusing if after all his blustering, Cornette DID get in a fight with Russo and got his ass kicked. and I say that as a guy whose firmly in Cornette's corner in this childish tiff.

Cornette has some very serious anger problems, but I doubt it would ever actually come to blows. It's all just bullshit posturing from a guy who wants to look tough and it's really sad.

Nah. Russo doesn't really seem to want to fight Cornette at all, since most of this whole thing seems quite one sided on Jim's end. Cornette really gives me the impression that if they did meet he wouldn't do anything short of maybe some kind of shouting match. Way too much posturing on his end to make me think anything otherwise.

Nope, both are full of hot air, and honestly, given what carnies both men are, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing was a work at this point.

Cornette would shoot him. Not in a wrestling sense, he would actually shoot him with a gun. Cornette already has a letter from a lawyer saying that Russo was in mortal fear of him. I hope they never meet or are in the same place ever.

Both are fulla shit. And hell, if it did go down it'd be a sad, sorry spectacle of 2 old, outta shape guys that can't fight awkwardly swingin at each other.

Jim actually said something similar at Fanfest one year when asked about fighting Paul Heyman. He was basically doing a promo, because if he had been mad enough to fight Paul it had faded years before He even referenced the tuxedo match, saying, "Someday we'll have our big rematch - I'm the 1, he's the 0 - it will be in a cage and it will probably last about 15 seconds and one of us is gonna have a stroke." Would he fight Russo? I doubt it at this point in his life. If the timeline was different and they'd had their beef when he was a young man, I would have said yes. To quote Ricky Morton about 20 years ago, "Don't think Jimmy Cornette won't fight you. He'll fight. He might take an ass whipping, but he'll fight you."

I think it'd come to blows, but just before he's about to be dealt the final blow, Russo will reveal his mother's name is "Thelma".

For all of Cornette's colorful ranting, I get the sense that if he were in the same room with Russo, he'd sigh to himself and hold his tongue unless provoked in some way, in which case he would just yell/bark/insult a lot. He seems to be more mature than his bluster immediately suggests. He has to know a physical fight over this stuff would be incredibly stupid.

f*** no. The day Cornette loses Rusdo is day his gimmick dies. For all the great tales he can tell, it is anger and bluster that draw the majority of his clicks I'd wager and without Russo to rage against a large part of that is gone.

I hope it's one of two things:
1. A swerve where they shake hands and hug, revealing it was a setup the whole time. They start their own company, Forward Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment, FWWE, which mixes old-school wrestling with aTtituDE.
2. They wrestle to a time-limit draw. After the bell rings, they shake eachother's hand, saying while they don't like the other's style, they respect one another. The crowd at the Paintsville, KY YMCA applauds.
