We all know about the Attitude Era, and moments like the Austin 3:16 speech, Austin/Tyson, DX invading Nitro, Mankind's HIAC bumps, etc.
What moment's would you say defined the 80's boom?
I think some definite ones:
-Hogan beating Sheik -First WrestleMania -Hogan vs Andre

You'd have to include the Hogan vs Piper match from The War to Settle the Score that aired on MTV.

Hogan appearing in Rocky III - it brought him to a wider audience and the (inter?)national consciousness. The boom obviously wasn't for another two/three years, but you could argue that this was one of the seeds that was planted.

Jimmy Snuka leaps off the cage vs Don Muraco If you talk to any high flyer or most dudes in ECW it's a defining moment into their desire to even get into wrestling. That one might be disqualified due to technicality - it took place in 1983, before the boom started; it would be another two months before Hogan even returned to the WWF.
