I think it would be a pretty cool series on say HBO. It could be about a promoter(mirroring Vince's life) or wrestlers and it can be similar to 'The Wrestler' where it is less about in-ring action, but more about the inside politics, relationship with family members, the press, etc...The beauty of it is that it can take place at the present, or even back in the 70s and 80s. Personally, I would like to be based off promoter life. It can be like Six Feet Under, where the father dies and his kids inherits the company. They would have to learn the business on the fly and would have to deal with large egos, including wrestlers too big for their bridges. The story of a wrestler would sound interesting too. It can start off from learning how to take the bump to the pressures being the world champion(going to interviews, kissing babies, etc...) Plus, we can also have internet fans and a Dave Meltzer like character in the series too

Well, we're kinda getting that with "G.L.O.W.", as much as it seems like a comedy, it also seems like there's going to be dramatic beats as well.

Any UK fans recall a short-lived "comedy" series on the BBC in the mid 90s called 'Rumble' starring Lesley Joseph (the tarty one from 'Birds of a Feather') and ex-professional wrestler Brian Glover?

I've thought for years backstage pro wrestling is a ridiculously untapped well for dramatic television.
From a production standpoint the only real questions are how fictionalized do you make it (does WWE exist in the show's universe?) and what era you place it in. The 80s seem tempting but the story of wrestling in America circa the 90s could be very interesting.

Yes. If it's well written, well acted, etc.

There was a story a while back about Fox doing a show like this, called The Work. Haven't heard about it for a while, though.
