When you realize this is the truth and it is nothing to get upset about, you will not get so upset about the show. Nah, watching a show that's written solely to be waste your time and go in circles is something to get pretty upset at the show about. Then don't watch. I know that is cliche, but don't watch it if it is upsetting. If a one week storyline about a women's MITB briefcase is too much "going in circles", take a break from the product.

More redundant than pointless. It seemed like there was heat in Carmella as a heel from the PPV, and she'll continue to get heat from this. I personally think they would have more mileage from DB trying to strip the briefcase last week only to get overruled by the "board" or whatever, but they can make Carmella and Ellsworth heels that people want to see get beat up now.

It feels like they didn't originally plan on redoing the match and only did so because of the backlash from the marks who took the "history in the making" stuff too seriously.

Beyond your reduction of my problems with it as if only this one storyline is an issue, I do take breaks when I feel liek I need to and people are not watching in big enough volumes for the "then don't watch" talking point to not really hold much water. "If you don't like it then don't watch it" doesn't make WWE's failings something people shouldn't talk about or excuse the flaws in any way. On the most fundamental of levels, I want to enjoy WWE and like the show, and I can't know an episode is good without watching it, so when the quality is super inconsistent I sometimes have to eat shit and watch some stuff that's bad.

I doubt it was just me, but I never thought for second anyone but Carmella was winning the second match.
So yeah, the match was "pointless" if that's the concern, but I certainly enjoyed it more than the first.

I thought Becky would win the second go round then Carmella would screw her over on the cash-in to kickstart a feud (if only because the briefcase is basically completely pointless in a division with seven people in it to begin with and Tamina's the only one of them that hasn't gotten a title shot already in the past three months), but I'd just as soon have Carmella with the briefcase, she was my desired winner first go-round anyway.

That is all well and good, but if it upsets you, you shouldn't watch it. Has nothing to do with proving a point to WWE or anything. If it is upsetting you, you need to step away. That is my advice to anyone, I am not just talking directly to you. You said this development has upset you. To me, it is strange to be upset by something that can be so easily avoided.

Yeah, I could have definitely seen a case for Lynch, but she's plenty over right now. She needs to be the chasing babyface until some sort of monster payoff (which I'm not sure I have confidence in WWE to cash in on, but here we are lol). To this point, I've never been that solid on Carmella, so I'm totally cool with her getting a shot to heel out a bit.

Yeah I thought it was gonna be Carmella from the get-out anyways too. During the match I started thinking Tamina was gonna win it because she was getting a lot in that match and we're in the age of Jinder where all bets are off.

They kind of had me when she flipped the ladder. That kind of felt like if you subbed in, say, Strowman or something that would've been the finish.

I think we might be operating under very different understands of how people are being made "upset" by WWE programming, if you think it's that drastic.

It wasn't pointless because now that Carmella is a 2 time Money in The Bank Ladder Match winner, it erases CM Punk from the history books, which makes sense, seeing how Vince is so petty.

Twice, Carmella has won due to outside interference. Clearly, this is setting up

You are the one who quoted my post brought up people having the right to be upset. I simply stated that if a tv show is upsetting you, you shouldn't watch it. Sorry if I am not familiar with or understanding exactly what your definition of upset is.

"Well that was a pointless waste of a whole bunch of watching time I could have spent doing something else" registers real low on any reaction scale, I didn't think you were saying "upset" like actual drastic like things make people upset because nobody in this thread is anywhere near that sort of level.

You know what I mean, not erase, but WWE will always mention Carmella as a 2-Time MITB Winner in videos talking about the MITB History.
